Lloydy’s ominous observation about the Tigers

3aw
24 March 2018

Matthew Lloyd has made an ominous observation about the Tigers.

Richmond beat Carlton in the season-opener on Thursday night, but had to come from 29-points down early in the game.

Lloydy said he saw worrying similarities between the Tigers and the 2017 Bulldogs.

“The Dogs won four of their first five games, but most of those wins were coming from behind,” Lloydy said on 3AW Football.

Lloydy said he didn’t like the Tigers’ body language as they were coming off the ground.

“I might be looking into this too much, but the Richmond players were having jokes, having a laugh,” he said.

“You’ve got to be very careful.

“You don’t want to be getting jumped, because ten teams might have beaten them last night.”

Ummm Matty .... the Dogs kicked 5 goals to 1 in the first qtr of round 1 last year  ;).

We also trailed early in the Grand Final before turning the tide and taking the lead during the 2nd qtr  :thumbsup.

Not to mention Lloyd's own beloved Bombers, who he has as his flag favourite, came from behind to win last night  :wallywink.

I agree, I am seeing worrying signs that Lloyd will be compared to the brain stem cell of gnat after receiving a brain transplant from a mycoplasma genitalium.

Yep. Dogs of '17 and Tigers of '18 are the only teams that have joked and smiled after winning games of football, ever. Correlation? Yep. Causation - one can only assume.

They also both have recent flags.

We used Marty as a player for a promotion at a company I worked for when he played. His manager said - word for word "Nice bloke but very simple"

One big difference, the dogs are very light on for top end talent, and after today you've got to wonder how on earth they won a flag.
