From Robbo's 'dislikes' column today:
10. OVERREACTIONS x2
Damien Hardwick should have jogged on when harangued by a Crows supporter on Friday night. The banter “not so funny now you are not at the MCG, hey buddy,’’ it was reported is hardly worth stopping to engage. Hardwick probably told him where to go, which was probably uncalled for. So was the overly officious police who demanded information from the Crows man, who was being nothing more than a smart arse. What are we, Russia? No winners here.

Desperate for a story but hard to get one from the front bar

I refuse to believe that "not so funny now you are not at the MCG, hey buddy,’’ was all that was said to set Dimma off like that. Why effing report it?!

Dimma needs to say what he heard.....

Dimma needs to say what he heard.....
Or an acceptable abbreviation of it.
He seems like a guy who keeps his cool, and his personal development last year has been well heralded.
So you'd think that what was said must have been pretty average.
I agree, he should let people know what he heard. People in the crowd, rightly so, get busted for racial vilification. 'This may not be so much different.
Interesting that the Crows don't seem to have said much about it. If Collingwood was involved, Eddie would be cancelling that person's membership.

AFL to take no action on Dimma's fan fracas

THE AFL has decided not to take any further action against a heckling Adelaide supporter who sparked a confrontation with Richmond coach Damien Hardwick after last Thursday night's game at Adelaide Oval.
After watching his side lose to the Crows by six goals, Hardwick walked down the stairs through the crowd at the venue, but stopped after taking exception to a fan's comments.
Hardwick turned around and had a few words with the man before pointing him out to security and continuing down the stairs.
The fan reportedly made a jibe about the Tigers' loss and being away from the comforts of the MCG, which they made their own during last year's finals run and premiership victory.
An AFL spokesman confirmed to AFL.com.au the League would not be pursuing the incident further after reviewing it over the last few days.

'Say what you want, but don't come near me'

DAMIEN Hardwick is happy for spectators to go their hardest with verbal barbs, but has warned them to stay out of his personal space.
The Richmond coach's comments come in the wake of his much-publicised altercation with an Adelaide supporter as he walked through the crowd following the Tigers' loss at Adelaide Oval last week.
Hardwick responded angrily to a remark from the fan, pointing at him, having words and alerting a security guard who was escorting him.
The premiership mentor played down the dispute and was in a playful mood when discussing the incident on Friday morning.
"I like my personal space, and I'm happy (for crowd members) to do what you want and say what you want, but don't come near me," Hardwick said.
"It's more me protecting myself from myself if that makes sense.
"You pay your money and you can say what you want, but if you encroach on my personal space, I'll take an issue to that."
The AFL took no action against the fan involved, with League chief executive Gillon McLachlan telling 3AW the report from ground security indicated the comments from the fan weren't overly offensive.
"It's not ideal clearly but there's nothing too dramatic in it from what I've seen," McLachlan said.
Former Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade said this week that coaches shouldn't be subjected to problematic positions when walking through the crowd to the playing surface.
"I don't think the coaches should be able to (walk) through the crowd because at one stage in the future something is going to happen," Eade said.
"Someone is going to be too drunk or say something abusive, so I think it's best to avoid that before it does."

I wouldn’t be surprised if Robert Walls still thinks about the conversation we had late Saturday evening in round 10 1997.
If I recall it was pretty much a one sided, but I’m sure I left an impression. :rollin
