Do these tools honestly think Waite coming in is going to stretch our backline lol.

Miles named surely means he'll come in if Cotch doesn't come up.

Soldo in if Jackstar is right and Nank will be rested.

Read their forum. They still think it's 2015 and they own us. The fact we are reigning premiers, top of the ladder, and beat them comfortably in the end at Etihad last year is lost on them  :lol.

TBH I'm not expecting Cotchin to play

Miles to play

Good recognition for Garthy to be named on the extended bench, seems to be developing nicely in the vfl. Highly doubt he’ll play as even if one of our tall defenders is injured, we go about 4-5 key position players deep in defence depending on if you include vlastuin.

Believe will take a conservative approach with Cotchin. Eithad is a hard track. Can see seem them playing Miles and giving Cotch one more week to recover. Can see them resting Nank as well and bringing Soldo in. Ellis does not deserve to displace anyone in the side presently. Agree good recognition for Ryan but doubt they will bring him in unless there is an injury.

To be honest the bloke goes alright, even at 40. Wood, Waite & Brown are not pushovers.

We will lose. North Melbourne pull out next years calendar in December every year, look for the Richmond clash and put the biggest red circle/X on it. They then train the entire preseason with pictures of Richmond players celebrating and winning stuck on the walls of the changerooms/tackle bags and even on the backside of the Coaches door (on top of a dart board). Their mentality is one; they work together like individual men functioning as one single unit with one modus operandi: beat Richmond. Don't worry about the season, don't worry about our fans or finals or ANYTHING else. Just. Beat. Richmond.

Play them at the G we poo it in, playing them at Etihad the game turns in there favour.
We play so poo at they ground it’s not funny and we have to host a home game there against Sydney yet ::)

Surely we are over Waite dominating against us?  What’s he now, 33?

Cotchin will have his work cut out for him on Jacobs but he only needs to do what he’s been doing and let the others dominate the possession.
Prestia is a loss and Martin needs to find his mojo as his kicking efficiency has been poor.

We should win if we are on our game, I think a 3rd quarter lapse like last weeks will be more damaging if we let that happen again.

I expect a good contest especially early but we should still win comfortably if we are switched on.

So are we just gonna start calling every game a danger game until we lose?

Literally its been every game since round 3 onwards which included against the winless brisbane lions at the MCG who weve beaten something like 12 times in a row.....

Agreed with this need back the club and playing group were past that crap from before. We play 4 qtrs and our game I'm confident we win and win anywhere to.

Come on last years fixture we exposed him big time his lack of pressure and defence our back 6 made him accountable and he was bad.Even with our outs I'm still confident.

Cotch in for Prestia.Waite and Daw in for them roos going tall.Scott maybe thinking he can out stretch our back 6 teams have tryed before crows in gf and we exposed them.Works in favour for our small brigade and speed of eithad we can out run them.Love when coaches underestimate us.

Hope they play Daw. He's a weakness that can be exploited by a good reader of the play. Could get his opposite number to pop up and take marks all over the ground

Opposition sides seem to forget about Broad who plays on the mobile 3rd tall who pushes up the ground to the wing as a linking player. In the GF, Broad played on Lynch and kept him quiet.

Astbury gets Brown.
Rance gets Waite inside North's F50.
Broad gets Wood.
Leaves Grimes as a spare option (on Higgins when he's up forward) and to peel off to prevent one-on-ones on the above tall match-ups.

Up forward, if North are playing 3 talls with Tarrant, Thompson & Daw back there, then our mids just need to lower the eyes. Our quick of the mark small forwards should be able to find space at ground level and on the lead between 3 (slower) talls.

It's in the midfield we need to work on this week. Freo smashed us in the clearances last week without Cotch there.
