Obviously one forced with Conca :(.
Floss possible gone too via the MRP.
Fire away ...
-
Conca - C Ellis
Vlastuin - Garthwaite or Balta
Grigg - for anyone please :pray
-
Garthwaite for Vlastuin
For Conca I'd love to see Bolton played as a winger or even Menadue if he can repeat his seconds effort from last week this week. If Kamdyn plays well, he'll come in most probably though or Lloyd or CEllis.

Isnt it great to finally have some player depth :thumbsup

Isn't Houli due back?
-
Isn't Houli due back?
I thought so. Would be the obvious one you'd think.
-
Isn't Houli due back?
Bachar spoke @ our function before the game & he thinks he is still 2 weeks away
-
Out: Reece and Nick (susp). Vlastuin a huge out of he goes which he will.
In: Corey and Garthwaite
An extra tall defender will come in handy against the Crows.
Rance to Tex and Astbury to Jenkins this time around. Garth to Fogarty
And no matter what we must put a player with B Gibbs as he gets 3 votes almost every time he plays against us.
-
I think Menadue and Garthwaite to come in. I'd love to see Drummond get a go, but can't see it at the moment.
Don't see that C.Ellis has the defensive side of his game to replace the two outs in Floss and Conca.
-
lets see who puts their hand up in the reserves.
Two of
Garthwaite
Menadue
CEllis
McIntosh
Lloyd

As much as I feel sorry for Conca, and I think he is a decent backup player, he definitely isn’t in my best 22 at the club. For all the good things he does, he gives it straight back just as much.
I would bring back McIntosh and Townsend for Conca and Vlastuin this week. Both hard nuts that don’t get heaps of footy, but neither do our 3 Amigos. But they all play their rolls. We now out muscle sides which is something I can not ever think we have done. Let’s not give sides an inch when it comes to heat at the footy and the man.
Vlastuin missing a week isn’t the end of the world either, just another nice little freshener leading into the last part of the season. Next week when available I would be looking at Higgins as the unlucky one.
Just my opinion.
-
Kmac ain’t exactly Leon Cameron with his disposal either...
-
Vlastuin was having a night out against Sydney, Who are you going to replace him with for Adelaide? Grigg was garbage. Dunno what is going on with Dusty, he looks off his tucker big time.
-
I didn't mind Vlastuin's massive goal from outside 50 either
-
Towner in to tag gibbs? plus garthwaite.
How would Stengle go on Gibbs?
-
Brian Taylor off any microphone or video or public viewing.
-
Bolton been very good in the 2s today.
It's time

Amen!

Geez the Crows look ordinary v eagle's.
-
Should be a dead rubber next week for the crows
% booster
-
INS: Gartnwaite, Ellis C
OUTS: Conca, Vlastuin

Geez the Crows look ordinary v eagle's.
Goes to show that you can't think like that or you loose. Will be a tough game as they have heaps to play for.
Think we should win at home though.
Ellis and Gartwaite in for me.
-
Let's get 65,000 + there Friday night.
-
Outs: Vlaustin. Conca.
Ins: Bolton. C. Ellis.
Think both of these guys deserve the call up.
-
CEllis will get smashed. AFL doesn't afford him the time & space he needs like the VFL does. Wasn't all that great yesterday anyway, despite his numbers.:shh
Out: Vlastuin, Conca,
In: Garthwaite , Bolton/Baker
Would also like too see Moore in for Higgins -who didn't play badly but we need another marking option as Adelaide always kill us in the air. :shh

I thought Higgins played well enough in a more midfield role against the Swans to suggest that Miles' papers are well and truly stamped now.

I was eager to see Miles return to the seniors only acknowledge why he isn't a regular in our side so I would agree, he wont get a recall this year
-
McIntosh in for Vlastuin and C Ellis in for Conca is what i think will happen.
If Bolton or Stengle came in for Conca how would that work?
-
Bolton's been playing on ball the last few weeks. :shh
Match committee will probably just go with Lloyd & McIntosh anyway... :sleep

INS: Gartnwaite, Ellis C
OUTS: Conca, Vlastuin

Garthwaite is a key position defender so he won't come in for a small defender like Floss. Houli would be the obvious in but if he is still 2 weeks away as taz says then there's going to need to be some re-jigging with our small/mid defenders. Brandon Ellis will have to do Floss' role (thankfully Betts is still out) and we bring in someone to do the HB role Brandon was doing. That's likely McIntosh or Menadue. Corey Ellis to come in for Conca as his role in the VFL side is similar to what Reece's was in the seniors.
-
No way Kmac comes in form in vfl game wasn't great.
-
I would think Garthy comes in and Broad switches to the Vloss interceptor role.
Throw Corey Ellis in the middle and there we go.
-
I’d like to see Bolton on a wing.
-
Mac and Towner
-
Mac and Towner
Townsend will be suspended

He wouldn't play Vlastuin's role he'd play Broad's and Broad would play Vlastuin's... :shh

Broad doesn't play key position either. He plays on the opposition's linking forward utility who plays high across F50 and leads up to the wing (eg: Adelaide's Tom Lynch who could be back this week from the Crows). Garthwaite couldn't run all day with a Lynch-type. As Dimma said, Garthwaite is an Astbury clone. The only reason you would bring Garthwaite in this week is to play on Fogarty but then Grimes would need play Vlastuin's role. We'd become too top heavy in defence with 3 key defenders.
-
Too much height shouldn't be an issue against Adelaide, also think you may be confusing Astbury & Garthwaite with Will Thursfield. :shh
-
Bolton in on a Wing - changing with Rioli up forward.
C. Ellis in to play Conca role or defensive/mid.
B. Ellis to play Vlaustin role. I don’t think they’ll bring in Garthwaite.
We don’t want to be too tall as the rains are comin’!
-
He might well be but somehow I can't see CEllis being picked again unless we cop a whole stack of injuries. :shh
We're not a tall side as it is - one extra won't make us top heavy, remember they won't have Betts..... :shh :shh

In the Mix - Round 16

Get them in: Corey Ellis has been building solid VFL form over three weeks and deserves a run at AFL level. Connor Menadue was also among the best while Sam Lloyd had 23 disposals and Shai Bolton impressed.
Under the pump: They're going to lose two with Nick Vlastuin suspended for a week and Reece Conca to sit out until the latter rounds with a dislocated ankle, so changes outside of those are unlikely.
Medical room: Conca escaped surgery but will wear a moon boot for two weeks. He remains in good spirits and the Tigers believe he'll play before finals. Bachar Houli isn't available as his return from a groin injury extends out to five weeks, but Trent Cotchin is expected to be fine despite playing out the win over Sydney with a sore knee. Anthony Miles will miss after being concussed in the VFL while Nathan Drummond is out with another hamstring. Jacob Townsend is also unavailable because of a one-game VFL suspension.
Verdict: Corey Ellis or Menadue for Conca. Ryan Garthwaite would be an interesting replacement for Vlastuin given the Crows' bevy of talls and the chance of Tom Lynch returning. Or, if Jack Higgins plays more midfield minutes with Conca out, the door could open for Shai Bolton or Tyson Stengle to re-stock the firepower.

"Get the feeling that young gun Liam Baker will debut or be thereabouts for @Richmond_FC on Friday night. Averages 20 touches and three tackles in the VFL, maybe giving Higgins a rest. Is a bit light, but his class and running make up for it. A rookie steal.. #gotiges #afl"

Two forced changes for Tigers
Reece Conca’s dislocated ankle has forced him to the sidelines for some time while Nick Vlastuin will miss a week with suspension.
It looks as though Corey Ellis could replace Conca after some strong VFL form while Connor Menadue is also a chance.
Impressive debutant from the Geelong win, Ryan Garthwaite, may return as Vlastuin’s replacement while Shai Bolton, Sam Lloyd and Callum Moore will also be considered.
