Looks like we got through unscathed bar a couple of staples into Dusty's head.
Fire away with your changes, if any?

Houli if fit for Menadue

Yeah I like that. Need to get Towner in soon for finals.

Townsend for Moore
Stengle for Menadue
Yep

The thing with Townsend is that he may only get half a dozen kicks but he will have three goals and a number of bone crunching tackles. Seems like they are willing to bring Kmac back without setting the world on fire in the VFL but not Townsend when clearly Moore has been struggling.

Hasn't been the case this season tho first 8 games was struggling to hit the scoreboard bigtime.Moore has played 7 games and needs time as a KP player he gives us a point of difference with his height.

This may not be the game to do it, but I realty think we should have a look at Baker at AFL level before the finals.

Moore needs to be persisted with IMO...apart from a couple of dropped sitters I thought he played his role perfectly....drew the defenders away from Jack and created space for Jack and others to lead into....some nice handballs under pressure too....a lot of "almost moments" that suggest a break out game is not too far away once he puts it all together (hopefully it won't be 8 years away as it turned out with Edwards and his "almost" moments) people need to realise he's not a body on body defensive forward like Townsend - he was a decoy forward relying on running patterns....he's not going to get 15 plus touches and kick bags in that role- also those who say he's not KPF - I agree - he's utility/third tall. Would like to see him playing up the ground, on the wing...second tall is second last position I'd play him in, FF being the last... :shh
...and Menadue was shyte but should've gone on ball at some stage in the second half....just like CEllis should've last week (and Lennon last year for that matter),not saying either will make it but that's where they've displayed their best form in the twos this year and where they'll have the best chance of getting involved and gaining some confidence....dunno if I'd drop him - we'll need pace against Collingwood - but he needs to actually use that pace too... :shh :shh

Outs: inaccurate kicking for goal.
Ins: accurate kicking for goal.

No change - George lucky!

Good to see Townsend play well today in the VFL.
Hopefully it might be a bit of deja vu from last year.
14 odd tackles today is exactly what we need at senior level come finals time. I feel with a few young guys in the side at present, our toughness and pressure has dropped off.
The roll he plays against teams like West Coast with their intercept markers in their backline is invaluable imo.
Take away an opposition teams strenth and they have to find another way to play which they aren’t accustomed to.

Best way to get your form back is kick a few "snags" in front of 90 odd thousand ;)

The Barometer - Round 19

RICHMOND
ON THE BLOCK: It was hard to pick a weak link in the Richmond artillery against the Saints on Friday night in what was arguably the side’s sharpest and most complete team performance of the season and there were no injuries out of the game in another positive.
ON THE CUSP: Rebounding defender Bachar Houli (groin soreness) missed the win over the Saints but is said to be fine to return this week, although coach Damien Hardwick suggested post-game that could be through the VFL given the club’s selection squeeze. Liam Baker continued to push for an AFL debut with three goals in the VFL while Anthony Miles (36 disposals), Sam Lloyd (29 disposals, two goals) and Jacob Townsend (24 disposals, one goal) also shone.
CHRIS CAVANAGH’S FORECAST: The Tigers are as well placed as they could be in their push to defend last year’s premiership and looked as sharp as they had all season in a dominant first half against the Saints on Friday night. But a bigger challenge awaits at the MCG this Saturday, the stage set for a bumper clash with fellow top-four outfit Collingwood. Richmond is gunning for a record 18th straight win at the MCG in that match and a 21st straight victory in Melbourne and heads in having beaten the Magpies in five of their past six matches.

Houli may miss another week
By Jake Niall

Richmond defender Bachar Houli is doubtful to return for the Tigers' pivotal match against Collingwood on Saturday.
Houli missed last Friday night's game against St Kilda due to a sore groin and while he has not been ruled out, the Tigers will take a cautious approach that could see him grounded again.
Richmond are unlikely to make significant changes to the team that demolished the Saints, although young rookie forward Liam Baker is given some chance of making his debut. Injured premiership players Dan Butler Jack Graham will miss again and are expected to be out for another couple of weeks.
The Tigers have already trialled Shai Bolton, who played in their narrow loss to Greater Western Sydney before being sent back to the VFL on the weekend, as a replacement for the speedy
Butler. Bolton was used as a rebounding defender in the VFL on the weekend.
Jack Higgins was played as the third small forward – supporting the highly talented Daniel Rioli and Jason Castagna – in the Saints game, with Shane Edwards also spending time as a forward.
The Tigers see no reason to change their one-ruckman policy at this stage and will continue to deploy Toby Nankervis alone – with support only from non-ruckman Shaun Grigg – as he faces Collingwood's imposing tandem of Brodie Grundy and Mason Cox.
Nankervis' durability has been remarkable, the former Swans follower having missed only one game to injury since 2014 and none since he came over to Richmond for the 2017 season.

The Tigers could go in unchanged on Saturday against the Pies after another crushing win over St Kilda.
Football boss Neil Balme said Dustin Martin was uninjured despite a heavy knock with Josh Battle that left him with bruise above his cheekbone.
Bachar Houli is training strongly and will take to the training track on Tuesday and Thursday to prove his fitness.
But coach Damien Hardwick said after Friday’s win he might return through the VFL, with Balme saying yesterday no decision had been made.

Get them in: Bachar Houli is a chance to return from groin soreness but it may be through the VFL. Liam Baker and Tyson Stengle kept themselves in the selection frame with strong performances at VFL level while Patrick Naish put in a career-best game with 32 disposals in the Tigers' 66-point win over Sandringham.
Under the pump: Jason Castagna has had a quiet few weeks; he hasn't kicked a goal since round 13, was wildly inaccurate last week against the Giants with 0.5, had just four kicks in the win over the Saints and has dropped off in pressure. Connor Menadue had 10 disposals in his fourth game for the season and Kamdyn McIntosh wasn't prolific in his return to the AFL side.
Medical room: The Tigers reported no fresh injuries out of Friday night's win. Houli didn't play because of soreness and is only a chance to return this week as the club works out the best way to manage him after his groin, which kept him out between rounds 11 and 16, flared up after just one game. Oleg Markov has been sidelined again with a fresh knee injury he sustained in the VFL.
Verdict: There's a chance they could go in unchanged if they decide to push Houli through the VFL. But, Baker and Stengle just keep making cases for themselves and Castagna has struggled in recent weeks, while Naish could bob up for a surprise debut at the expense of Menadue or McIntosh.

Ch 7 news showed Edwards leaving training early with his knee being checked out on the boundary. The Club says he'll still play.

Agree need pace against Collingwood but unsure about Menadue. If Menadue retains his spot maybe this is the game where he can use his pace to good effect. If Houli is fit they will drop Menadue. Agree Moore not a key position forward. Agree his leads distracted defenders from Jack but he needs to hold his marks and pose some form of threat. His usefulness relies on the fact that he poses a threat. Whilst Townsend is not quick he is a good mark over head, is usually a good kick at goal, provides an aerial contest and most importantly with his tackling and pressure he helps with locking the football in the forwardline. Townsend and Stengle deserve a game in the seniors perhaps at the expense of Menadue and Moore.

Houli won't play: Set for 'mini pre-season'

PREMIERSHIP defender Bachar Houli won't play at any level this weekend as the Tigers look to restock his post-injury fitness with a training block.
Richmond coach Damien Hardwick insisted the 30-year-old returned too early from the groin complaint that saw him miss five games from round 10, despite him pulling up sore after his round 17 comeback.
Hardwick said there was a chance Houli would appear in the VFL in round 20, but this week he would focus on training after deeming his groin "not to the level" he was comfortable playing at.
"He won't play this week. We'll take a conservative approach with him," Hardwick said.
"He's probably started to miss too much footy, so we'll pull him back a bit, get a good training block into him again just to make sure he's ready to go.
"It's one of those injuries where we could probably push the envelope, but we're not quite sure how it's going to respond, so we'd rather be a bit conservative and make sure when he's ready to go, he's ready to go.
"It's a little bit disappointing for us because he's such an important player for us, but we're hoping in the short term that turns around."
Hardwick confirmed Houli would return through the VFL when fit enough to play.
Shane Edwards trained on Thursday despite an injury scare earlier in the week, as did Dustin Martin after copping a heavy knock to the face in the win over St Kilda on Friday night.
Liam Baker and Patrick Naish also trained as part of the squad and are a chance to make their AFL debuts.
Hardwick said a decision on whether either would be brought in for their first games in front of an expected 85,000-plus crowd against Collingwood on Saturday would be made after training.
"It's a tough decision as coach … whether we continue to go with what we know, or do we give a guy a chance?" he said.
"There's two ways of looking at it, you can either worry about it or you can say this kid's right for the challenge and we throw him in, and they're the decisions that we'll make."
Reece Conca was also on the track on Thursday as he ramps up his training load in a bid to return from a dislocated ankle in the coming weeks.
While Nathan Broad returned from a fractured cheekbone ahead of schedule last week, Dan Butler (ankle) and Jack Graham (shoulder) won't repeat the feat against the Pies.
"They're on the horizon, probably next week I'll have a better indication of where they're at," Hardwick said.
"They're certainly not available this week, but we'll have a better understanding of where they fall into place as of next week."

Main training for the Tigers ahead of massive clash with Pies Saturday. Bachar Houli (calf) on track but won't play this weekend so unlikely to be any changes. @superfooty

The outs are 100% right Doc.
Both Moore and Menadue have been average in every way. Not sure anyone can defend their form. We have been playing 2 short with those two in the side, and you cannot do that against good sides.
Good luck to Baker.
I’m looking forward to seeing a new face in a Tigers jumper. I haven’t seen him live yet but from what I have been told this kid has something. 🤞

I think he means his prediction was only half right, not that he thinks the club got it wrong.
