I know most people hate Daffy, but he was always one of my favorite players and while he did spray his disposal quite often out of the centre he was a very opportunistic player for a few years and was yet again another player of ours to be cut down through injury.

I still have a Richmond jumper with number 10 on it with Nick's autograph. It also has a large Daffy Duck head sewn on the back of the jumper just above the number.

Never a fan and could never quite understand why we tried to make him a mid-fielder.

He was far more damaging as a HF flanker IMO kicking goals. Rather than running from CHB to the members wing to the centnre circle back to the HB stuff to the other wing and then kicking it to Richo who by that stage had 5-7 blokes on him.

He was the perfect example of why it is the quality of the possessions rather than the quantity that is more imnportant to a team.

To be fair, he had his moments, but was way overrated at the time and like others have said, was a master of the blind kick to no one.

Another thing that scchitted me about him was his reluctance to handball to players in better position; it was almost like he was pre-programmed to kick most of the time.

Yet another ok player we mistook for a superstar.

Sad thing for us now, I think he'd easily make our 2006 team  :'(
