Treloar: ‘I want Tigers in prelim’.
Adam Treloar says he would still choose Collingwood over Richmond, despite Tigers’ premiership

ADAM Treloar says he has no regrets about choosing Collingwood over Richmond despite the reality he would already be a premiership player if he had landed at Punt Rd.
Treloar said yesterday he knew he was “openly hated by Richmond fans” after he famously chose the Pies over Richmond because they had a “better list”.
But he believes landing at Collingwood has improved him as a person as well as a player, investing in relationships at the Pies in a way he failed to do at Greater Western Sydney.
He is desperate to knock over his old club GWS on Saturday to take on Richmond in a preliminary final, but not to prove he was right when he made that decision on a new club.
“Obviously watching (the Tigers premiership) I was like, ‘Wow, two years before that I could have been there’. But hand on heart I wouldn’t change anything for the world,” he told the Herald Sun.
“Everything happens for a reason. I love these guys more than footy.
“At the Giants I was so young and they were just my footy mates. I didn’t give as much to them away from the field as I could have.
“I have a genuine passion for these guys and I wouldn’t change a thing about going to here or Richmond because Collingwood has helped shape me as an individual and a footballer.”
Treloar says he should have chosen his words better in November 2015 when he said Collingwood have “a younger list, a better list who in a couple of years time hopefully can win a premiership”.
“I didn’t really mean offence whatsoever to Richmond,” Treloar said ahead of Saturday’s final against the Giants.
“I thank them for their interest in me but I probably could have worded it better.
“I thought I was better suited to Collingwood because Richmond had players like me.
They had Dusty (Martin) and Trent Cotchin and they didn’t need someone like me.
“At the time we had Swanny (Dane Swan) but we didn’t have other line-breaking players so if I had my time back I would reword it.
“I am Collingwood through and through and openly have a soft spot for the Giants, but outside of them Richmond is the team I love watching the most.
“So coming up against them is something that excites me.
“If that were to happen what better way to knock out the reigning premiers than in a preliminary finals.
“Clearly they are the benchmark but it starts with this mob this week so we have to get over the line first.”

Good. Concentrate on us and let the Giants beat you.....
-
lmao, "everything happens for a reason"
Nothing happens unless you make it happen mate.
In 2 weeks time you can relive regret
-
Gez pies all week talking about next game premlim instead of one week at a time.
-
Bucks tried to address the obsessed focus on the prelim after Eddies outbust re scheduling. Must be worried that his players arent mentally prepared for GWS. It would appear that tomorrow's game is a foregone conclusion in alo of the Pies minds.

Not going to happen.
GWS will take them out.

All of a sudden a "i can't be fazed who wins this game" has now become "Go Giants"
And for the record Mr Treloar I don't hate you, I thank you for delivering Rioli, Prestia, Caddy, Graham and as a result Lynch to us
-
Just shows how mentally weak Treloar is.
Most Tiger supporters have long forgotten his slur from two years ago but he hasn't forgotten.
The fact that he is talking about the preliminary final shows how he is getting ahead of himself, they have to get past the Giants first.
-
Treloar made his choice, good luck to him. As has been previously pointed out, missing Treloar delivered in spades for us.
We have our flag, but I don't see them winning one anytime soon. I think Treloar can just fade away into the annals of being another Magpie hero who delivered little but overhyped potential. But he will have his great new Collingwood mates, so that bond is no doubt something he can continue to cherish and share with them when he eventually ends up in Barwon.

He left GWS to join Collingwood and overlooked the Tigers
In 2 weeks time he'll live with regret once again :shh

Trewho?
Hey hey WHOA. enough.
Yes, he isn't popular but I appreciate his groovy grubbers :shh
-
Noticable last week that his kicking was terrible after the time off.
Lots of very high, slow kicks under pressure.
-
:lol
Let’s see if he regrets his decision at 5pm on the 29th September 2018.
Why wouldn’t he just shut his mouth for another couple of weeks??
Idiot!!

He continually brings it up so it's in his head. He's trying to convince himself of his own doubts. If the Pies get done today then his worst fears will come true as he'll have to watch on TV again the two clubs he rejected play off for a Grand Final spot :wallywink.

More of this chasing and tackling on Friday night please, Cotch :pray ;D.

His kicking is lacking penetration after his injury and he is hanballing alot. He may be a tool for choosing the pies but shows he's a stuff athlete.
-
Him and Collingwood are gonna get penetrated on Friday night.
-
Treloar just gives the impression that if he was really extended when chasing at least one hammy will pop, both appear as tight as guitar strings at the moment.

Watching the game I wondered the same thing.
