THE best team of the year does not always get its hands on the premiership, as Richmond fans painfully found out this year. Will the Tigers be left to rue a missed opportunity?

Richmond seemingly had the premiership for the taking but flopped in the Preliminary Final. The Tigers didn't come close, with only Jack Riewoldt and Jack Higgins ...

We won in 2017 when no one expected to and then failed in 2018 when we were favourites.

So pretty much on average. Benjamin Button style. Won the premiership after nailing the finals then had the really successful home and away series.
