Title: Our rebuild compared to Carltons.
Post by: mat073 on May 02, 2019, 02:13:08 PM: Last weekend was Bolts 77th game in charge of Carlton . Only 21 wins and 56 loses .

Back in 2013 , Dimma also coached his 77th game . We had just beaten Adelaide after beating West Coast in Perth the previous week. After starting 0-10 as the "worst team since Fitzroy " Dimmas record was a respectable 31:2:44 ....have gone on to play 5 of the next 6 finals series ( with no end in sight )

I wonder why we aren't given more credit and mentioned more as a blueprint with discussion to teams facing a rebuild.

Why aren't Blues fans green with envy , crying over our successful rebuild ??

Having said that - 2020 might see a much more competitive Carlton.

Hell, I even know some allegedly Richmond supporters who don't give the Club or Dimma any credit for our success whatsoever.

He is going to be our longest serving coach ever and he delivered the holy grail after 37 years. One day when he is finished coaching he will take his place as an immortal of our club and rightly so.

His actual record at Carlton is 16 wins from 72 games.@ 22.2%

My point still stands.

I know people who let their uncle take a fall for quoting his nephew's user title :shh

but good point, neph. I don't really consider those people to be Richmond supporters anymore. Just miserable old moles really

when did silvagni get to carlton it was only then they decided to bottom out and go the full youth route.
