With Astbury now out then Garthwaite obviously comes in.

Suggest Menadue ?
As no obvious match up

Can tell you Astbury wanted to play but with no match up, told to have a rest
Been running on the special treadmill inside today

No need to be unhappy with Menadue. Played well in the single game this year and has controlled the back half at VFL level this year. Is developing :shh

Collier Dawkins named as an emergency is a good sign.

Or a sign of the mounting injury toll.....

Half the time when kids are named among the emergencies it's really just as a kind of encouragement award... :shh

Beveridge on Richmond:

"They've got a similar configuration or composition in their team as we have ... they're not a tall side," Beveridge said.

"They've lost some experienced players but it's been impressive to see the way some of their young guys have come in and performed.

"I think both teams height-wise won't be far apart which is a bit different for us.

We probably would've lost anyway given the lack of team effort but going small in team selection trying to match the Dogs backfired big time. Opposition clubs had exposed and restricted the Dogs with height both up forward and down back yet due to injuries and not bringing in Garth we played right into the Doggies' hands.

Blues destroy dogs by over 40 playing tall and we go in with smalls. Hahahaha

I bet astbury could have played too, but they probably thought it didn't matter so left him out and not replace him with a like for like
