Obviously Nank and Ross will be out
Vlastuin and Soldo in ?
Rioli ?
-
Soldo and Naish in if Vlastuin and Rioli don’t get up. Ross and Nank out (Inj.).
-
Out Nank, Ross, Broad
In CCJ, Naish, Vlastuin
Give Rioli another week
-
Broad inj?
-
INS: Soldo, Vlastuin, Rioli (if fit)
OUTS: Nankervis, Ross, Higgins (for Rioli)
-
The weirdest thing I saw today....
The ball going out on the full about 55 metres out from our goal. Shai Bolton being closest to it when it went out. Jack Higgins being nearby and telling Bolton to pee off so that he could take the kick instead.
Very interesting. Bolton has skills and vision that Higgins couldn't even comprehend. Thought it was pee poor by (an albeit young fella) someone who's probably got a little more pull with the group than a guy like Bolton who up until today was not guaranteed a game
-
Outs: Broad (omitted). Higgins (omitted).
Nankervis (injured). Ross (injured).
Ins: Naish. Soldo. Townsend. Vlastuin (play him in the middle)
-
Higgins needs a spell been poor for me to much hype last season pretty weake if that is true if he did that.
-
Out: nankervis (inj), ross (inj), broad
In: soldo, naish, vlastuin
Agree with pmac, give Rioli another week.
-
"It's disappointing to lose those boys [Nank & Ross], no doubt, but (Nick) Vlastuin will probably be available to play, as will (Daniel) Rioli," Hardwick said.
Hardwick highlighted Patrick Naish, who booted four goals in the VFL, Dan Butler, Jake Aarts and Riley Collier-Dawkins as fringe players pushing the senior side.

Time for Snags to go back to the twos

Agree, has been underwhelming this year to date?
-
To be fair to Higgins he is transitioning into a more midfield role. That will take time.
But I do agree I think he could do with a rest.

RICHMOND
Get them in: Father-son selection Patrick Naish is knocking the door down to make his debut, finishing with 29 disposals and four goals while playing on the wing in the VFL. Draftee Riley Collier-Dawkins is another building strong VFL form, while Dan Butler was the travelling emergency and didn't play VFL.
Under the pump: Richmond is so injury-ravaged at the minute, it's unlikely anyone will make way due to a lack of form. Connor Menadue could once again be the unlucky one to give way for Nick Vlastuin, despite showing poise playing further up the ground. Damien Hardwick has indicated Ryan Garthwaite will now have a run in the ones.
Medical room: Yet another brutal week on the injury front for the Tigers, with Toby Nankervis (adductor) and Jack Ross (ankle) set for long stints on the sidelines. In better news, Vlastuin (ankle) and Daniel Rioli (soreness) are likely to return.
Verdict: It's Ivan Soldo time, with the big man set to add to his eight games by coming in for Nankervis. Rioli for Ross (and some switching of the magnets with Jack Higgins and Liam Baker set to spend more time in the middle), while Menadue may be desperately unlucky to miss for Vlastuin

Couldn’t possibly drop Menadue 🤦♂️
-
Richmond will regain valuable defender Nick Vlastuin (ankle) for Sunday's game, as a replacement for injured youngster Jack Ross.
Small forward Daniel Rioli will also be available after missing last week's game againt the Dockers, arguably the Tigers' best performance of 2019 in view of the personnel missing and the performance of younger players such as Shai Bolton.
Ivan Soldo is expected to come in as first ruck to replace Toby Nankervis, who will miss six to eight weeks with an adductor injury.
Richmond's first draft pick from last year, Riley Collier-Dawkins, is in the mix to make his debut, although it is unclear who the large inside midfielder would push out if the Tigers are to bring back Vlastuin, promote Soldo and regain Rioli.
Soldo has not played this season, as the Tigers have opted to use the hyper-athletic tall Noah Balta as the back-up ruck behind Nankervis, in a set-up that they recognised as more sustainable than using the now-retired Shaun Grigg as the second ruck, as they did last year and in 2017.
Balta performed well when Nankervis left the ground against Fremantle, taking over ruck responsibilities completely.

Can we play Rioli, Bolton, Baker, Castagna all in the same team?? Can't drop any of the last 3 on form can you??

I think Higgins might be most at risk, but Dan's form wasn't instant recall worthy before injury either.

Ahhh but he does have a famous name
-
Was also brilliant in the SF v hawthorn last year
-
Kicked a few against GWS in the final a year before that as well
-
yeah but have you seen how well he trains
-
He’s really stepped up his sprinting off the ground to the interchange bench this year
-
He’s got one of the best handballs our the back that I’ve ever seen.
-
Thought Higgins improved as the game wore on....started to look more like the composed, smart footballer of last year and less like the impersonation of a young Jake King that we've been treated to so far this year.... :shh
-
Naish deserves a chance. Id take out a Higgins who deserves to get a rocket for how he is going about his business in 2019.

Can't be better than Pia's other half...... :shh
