Leppitsch joked the Tigers might have to bring back recent retiree Shaun Grigg to support young gun Noah Balta if Soldo’s suspension stood.
“We’ve got one more young boy, Callum Coleman-Jones in the twos, he is a second-year ruckman, so he is still really developing and very raw,” Leppitsch said.
“So that’s probably our only other option at this point in time.
“Maybe a Noah and a Caddy, I don’t know, Noah and a whoever. Bring back Grigga for one last game?”

So Choi is not considered as a second ruck option anymore? I havent seen any VFL games this season but does he second ruck there?

I'd play Chol ahead of CCJ. Based on the VFL game Chol is more ready

You obviously haven’t watched much VFL this season

Balta with Broad assisting :shh

Balta with Broad assisting :shh
That sound logical
Essendon 2nd ruck
Has been Zac Clarke so no need to panic

It will be Bellchambers with Daniher giving him a chop out

Could be a blessing in disguise - the bummers would have taken a good look at soldo against the Hawks. thought he was good in the ruck but he was assisted with McEvoy going down early. At times I thought his follow up work was average at best, so the bummers would likely look to exploit that. Having a reliable tall to kick it to down the line is what we are missing with nank out. Hopefully lynch is fit enough to start playing up the ground a bit more to take those marks between wing and defensive 50.

I like it but it’s very glass half full. I love the idea of giving the kids a free crack at it but please don’t lose sight of the fact that Bellchambers will kill us. He’s no champion but he is a seasoned ruck man.

Yeah I have actually.

I'm leaning more towards Chol now....more seasoned and he at least has the leap to make his presence felt in the ruck contest and be a nuisance...he also generally plays better and gets more involved when he does go in the ruck...reckon we'll go the Balta/Broad combo though, mainly because it'll allow the match committee to bring back Rioli without dropping anyone... :shh

Have you been watching AFL Jack? Essendon dropped Clarke last week and unless there's an injury I doubt they'll bring him back.
-
Chol looked better than CCJ in the ruck v Box Hill IMO....tbh I mainly want to have a look at CCJ at AFL level just too see how he goes around the ground and up forward at this stage... :shh
-
Depends how tall Essendon line up. They have Mitch brown and Mckernan both available for this week if they add them to Bellchambers, Daniher and to a lesser extent Francis and stringer, then think we’d need to replace soldo rather than take broad out of defence for spells.

Chol has been very very ordinary
What he does when we have got the ball is poor . Apart from flashes , he won’t jump in ruck contests and blatantly refused to follow opposition ruck last week . Was at game and watched tape again yesterday
Apart from Butler , Egg and Naish , it was the VFL players who performed very well on the weekend, Morris ,Ballard and Grewar have been very good

Inexperienced pair up for selection: Richmond's ruck conundrum
Scott Spits
The Age
23 May 2019
Richmond are poised to bolster their ruck division with either Mabior Chol or the untried Callum Coleman-Jones after they were left bereft in that department with the suspension of Ivan Soldo.
With first choice Toby Nankervis sidelined with an adductor injury and Soldo out for one match, the Tigers appear certain to pick one of that inexperienced duo to support young ruckman Noah Balta.
In recent seasons the Tigers have been able to turn to Shaun Grigg for support - most famously in their 2017 premiership-winning season - but the durable utility retired mid-season this year.
Richmond were left disappointed after Soldo copped a one-match ban for striking Hawthorn's James Worpel but chose not to take the case to the AFL appeals board.
"It’s an opportunity for someone else to step in. We’re disappointed because he [Soldo] played a really good game and he won’t get the opportunity to play this week," said coach Damien Hardwick.
"But someone else will. What that looks like we’ll have a pretty long discussion this afternoon to try and determine who that will be.
"These two players – are they ready? We’re not sure. Someone’s going to play which is exciting for our fans to see."
