Seems similar. Need a positive to take out of tonight.
-
One can only hope

We still have to play the Saints at Docklands after the bye. Thankfully it's our one and only to come. We certainly bring our worse footy when we play there :help :banghead.
-
Is it just me or do we always play Norf at that poo heap of a ground?
-
we always play like crap at Marvel Stadium. No idea why but the team can never quite get it together at docklands.

Last 11 H/A meetings (2011-2019):
Docklands 8
Bellerive 2
MCG 1
Home 3 (2 at Docklands; 1 MCG)
Away 8 (6 at Docklands; 2 Bellerive)

nb. The EF loss was played at the 'G of course.
-
No - it was the Dogs match all over again. :shh

Haven't played Norf st the 'G in a H&A match since Petrie kicked 7 on Rance & McGoof.... :shh

Yer thought as much.
Surely the club has to do something about this. That is BS.
How do you play 1 game out of 11 at your home ground in 9 years??

Because it's no-crowd North. A crowd of only 29k tonight (their home game) means the AFL will force us to play them at Docklands to prop them up.
-
I'd say we quite happily agree to this in exchange for more MCG games.
No one wants to watch North, so it makes sense for us to sacrifice our home games against them and pick up other higher drawing games at the MCG.

The thing is if they play this game at the G, we get 50k. (If it we’re our home game)
If we have to play a home game each year at Marvel why can’t it be against an interstate side? Why do we have to play Norf at their home ground when it our home game?
Can anyone explain that?
The fixture is a joke already but at the very least you should play teams at alternative grounds each time you play them.

What?
When it’s our home game we should play at the G.
And if we have to play a game at Marvel as part of a deal that was agreed to before the AFL owned Mavel, then it should be against an interstate club. Not a club that has Marvel as it’s home ground- Norf, St. Kilda, Carlton, WB or Essendon.
-
I thought the bulldogs game was the "St Kilda 2017" game.
We seem to play one stinker a month. I'm surprised we have won so many games to be honest with the set backs we have had.

This year we have played our one home game against an interstate club = Sydney
Last night was N0rt's home game.
All MCG co-tenant have to play at least 1 game there.
Think it's a disgrace myself but hey that's the AFL for you

I know last nights game was a Norf home game WP but can you explain to me why we have played them once in 9 years at the G in the H&A season?
Out of the last 11 games we have played Norf, we have played once at the G.
Come on!
That is AFL BS at its finest.

AGREE! I was thinking when was the last time we played North at the MCG?

It hurts this loss because:
1 - we were HORRIBLE!
2 - we didn’t look like we wanted to win
3 - we had no structure going forward
4 - North are not that good!
-
Bump.
Maybe not.
-
Thought that was the Dogs and Kangas games
-
This is all tactics people.
They told us they’d tapper the preseason because last year we peaked too early.
We aren’t even hitting our straps yet.
Let’s just get past this predetermined lull and set our sights for round 18 when we begin our march to September glory then we will be the unstoppable force again.
Teams like Geelong will be like us last season beaten to a pulp and wondering what just happened. :rollin
