How did we all rate Edwards' year?
-
His best season of his career. Stood up when we were ravaged by injury.
-
10/10 for me.
Perfect season. Mr Fix It did everything that was asked of him, which was more than any player in the team. Played mid, played back, captained the side, whatever. Hands are absolutely magic.
More deserving than anyone of that 2nd medal!
-
At half time in the GF, David King said Edwards was like Voldemort, no one even knows he’s there! Unbelievable year. Whether it was as a quarterback type role or a midfield one, he was brilliant. A 10 from me too.

10. Champion.
-
The Football Whisperer ... he knows what they are going to do ... ;D
Couldn't ask any more of a player. 10/10 well deserved!
-
10 out of 10!!!
Whoever didn’t give him a 10 is a bum
-
Wouldn't have won premiership number 12 without Edwards.
-
Led superbly when we had injuries - can see as a smoky to replace Cotchin as our captain
-
I am waiting for WAT's input before i give my mark
-
Can't believe this thread's been up for nearly 16 hours and still no appearance from Mr. Magic... :shh

No option to score an eleven

I can't believe that Edwards did not make the All Australian team. What a year.
If he couldn't crack it for a spot in front of the more vanilla midfielders in the team then at least he could've got in for his work on the HBF. Having both McGovern and Hearn on the HB line was ridiculous.

Sheds was top 5 in most stats for us this year.
No. 2 for handballs
No. 3 for contested possessions
No. 3 for clearances
No. 3 for centre clearances
Equal No. 3 for tackles
No. 4 for disposals
No. 4 for metres gained
Equal No. 4 for intercepts
Equal No. 5 for inside-50s

The thing you notice rewatching the finals is Sheds seemed to be used as a 3rd term weapon. He was moved into the midfield straight after half-time in both the QF and PF and our midfield play went to another level and dominated the second half in both matches. Rewatching the QF last night, he just killed it and lead to us blowing the Lions away with 7 goals to 1. Sheds had something like 14 contested possies midway through the 3rd quarter leaving everyone else on both sides in his dust including Lachie Neale.
