Despite all our injuries early on this year we were still able to pick up wins to be 4-2 after six rounds. It provided us some insurance and kept us in touch of the other top sides when we had those 3 losses in a row just before the bye.
So how many games do you think we will win in the first 6 rounds of 2020?
Your team's first six games: How many can they win?

RICHMOND
Round 1: Carlton (home)
Round 2: Collingwood (away)
Round 3: St Kilda (away)
Round 4: Adelaide (home)
Round 5: West Coast (away)
Round 6: Melbourne (away)
The Optimist: 6-0
The Realist: 5-1
The Pessimist: 3-3
The 2019 premiers are expected to get off to a winning start in their annual opener against Carlton and should account for St Kilda, Adelaide (at the MCG) and Melbourne. The Collingwood clash is always tough to predict while West Coast away is a daunting task for any side. The Tigers are more than likely to be well on the positive side of the ledger after the opening six rounds.

Minimum 4 probably 5.
-
3 -3 - better not to peak too early #2018neveragain... :shh
-
Still back us even where 0- 6 :gotigers.

I’m thinking 5-1 with the loss to westcoast
-
Could lose to Pies + Eagles. 4-5 for me
-
Happy to lose to them early if we beat them in the finals. 2020 Premiership Cup to join our 2017 and 2019 cups would be brilliant.
-
Adelaide get up for us every time since we embarrassed them in the GF, so I think that's a 50/50 match.
I think 4-2, with an unexpected loss and win one of either W.C or Coll.

Play those on 2019 form and we'd be 5-1 or 6-0. Only the Eagles away would be the tough one. However, early on in the season we'll have less preparation coming off a premiership compared to sides who have had an extra month of preseason.
As for each game:
1. The season opener will probably be the first time in a long time that it isn't a gimme 4 pts.
2. Will Collingwood be top 4 again or will the salary cap pressure start to bite? They haven't improved their list nor solved their deficiencies and will be relying on the same squad with Pendlebury & Sidebottom a further year older.
3. Playing any Docklands tenant is a tough one because we hate playing there.
4. It will be a massive surprise if the Crows aren't a bottom 6 side next year. Playing them at the 'G should be a win.
5. Eagles in Perth is always hard but early on in the season is probably as good a time as you can get.
6. Who knows what Melbourne will be like next year?! Been that way for 55 years. Recruiting wise they haven't done really anything to address their numerous deficiencies but like North they pump themselves up whenever they play us. #wearetheirGF
I think we'd be happy to at least get through the first six rounds all square. Any better and it will be a bonus. We'll be planning to peak again in the second half of the season when it matters.

2020 vision: Which teams will make a flying start?

Last flag: 2019
2019 finish: 3rd, premiers
First five games
R1 v Carlton (H) MCG Thu Mar 19 7.25pm
R2 v Collingwood (A) MCG Thu Mar 26 7.25pm
R3 v St Kilda (A) Marvel Sun Apr 5 3.20pm
R4 v Adelaide (H) MCG Sat Apr 11 1.45pm
R5 v West Coast (A) OS Fri Apr 17 8.10pm
Huge rivalries to start the 2020 season and no reason why the premiers can’t board a plane to Perth riding a 4-0 record. Went 3-2 last year despite being struck down by injuries but with even luck and improvement should be able to improve on that with three of the first four at the MCG fortress.
How will they go without … Alex Rance?
They won the flag without the five-time All Australian last year without Rance and others early due to injury so more of the same in 2020. The benchmark.
They said: “(Hardwick) acknowledges that if we play the exact same as we did in 2019, it’s not going to be good enough in 2020.” – Tigers premiership defender Dylan Grimes
TAB odds:
Premiership $5
Top 4 $1.60
Top 8 $1.15
Most losses $1001
