Next up is Lynch.
Tom crossed over to Richmond from the Suns as a free agent this time last year. Despite a restricted preseason due to a PCL, he kicked 16 goals in his first four games as a Tiger. A reduced output in the following weeks saw commentators such as Matthew Lloyd call Lynch a "liability". Tom, however, ultimately proved the knockers wrong as his match fitness improved with the continuity of games. From Round 17 onwards, he average 14.4 disposals, 6 marks and 3 goals per game. He was a key member of our finals campaign and premiership, especially playing a starring role in our Preliminary Final comeback win over Geelong.

How did we all rate Lynch's year?
-
If it wasn't for Lynch playing in that early part of the season - and when he was obviously not really fit enough - we don't win those early games and we don't win the premiership. He then built up his fitness and was on top of his game by the end and finals and was in dominate form.
Gave him a 9 purely on the low mid point as he was building his fitness
-
Gave him 9
For all the reasons Gracie stated
For a bloke who had np pre-season, coming back from the injury he did he was outstanding
-
considering the circumstances he was great.
-
Also a 9 from me. Outstanding season from Tom. A brilliant first year return on our investment.
-
A reminder of his season.

gave him 9 as there was no 9.5 option
nothing short of brilliant off zero pre season & to play every game
I didn't realise he has heaps of mongrel in him too
our next skipper for 2 years then Tigga for mine
What an asset

Gez a change of tune lol early on people were potting him big-time after no preseason and settling in.Make no mistake gave us the point of difference when Jack come back , and teams struggled against us with both.
-
Think you’ll find it was only a couple of people who have not surprisingly gone quiet since the bye.
Lead the line admirably while obviously limited in the first half of the season. His post bye form was as good as it gets, I’ll never forget his prelim final performance. Back him for the Coleman next season.
-
I gave him a ten, coming back from a reco, into a new team, ran into form to finish with a flag. I feel sorry for the competition, they are in for a very bad time and their hatred of us is going to be epic if we can keep this bloke up and running.
-
Gave him a 10 because there was no 9.5. Missed some sitters, elsewise was a genuine pleasure to watch. Not just marks and goals, but being a big nasty MF as well brought me pure joy. Earned his flag/medallion.
-
Did not hesitate in giving him a 10. Was in contention for the Coleman with no preseason and was the line forward and avenue for scoring at our lowest point. Major influence in us winning the flag with the cream being his crazy good performance against Geelong. Give him a longer contract.
-
There are those who talk about how good Marlion Pickett will be after a pre season....
-
Good to see Jack voted
Gave him a 10, thought he won us the game against Geebung and without that there wouldn’t have been a GF
Gun
Suck poo Lloyd you flog
-
Gave an 8 only because I know he's got much more in him and when that happens where Gunna go bananas on this forum and on the ground!

If he plays 6 more seasons at the level he did this year he will go down as one of the Richmond greats.
But I agree, I think he can get better, or at least have a few more consistent seasons.
Gave him a 9. Showed, maturity, class and grunt. Showed that he certainly didn't just choose the Tigers for $$, or to try and ride the coat tails to a flag. Wanted to contribute.
Could he be the greatest Tiger recruit in the modern era (post VFL)?

His was the most extraordinary of all the seasons - given it was his first year and the extend of his knee injury.
