Mark Stevens on Ch 7 news tonight said AFL clubs will be adding another sponsor's logo above the player's number on the back of the jumper in an effort to retain sponsors.

None of the above.
Just my opinion based on they are biggest sponsor. Think the contract would be up this year or next. So any extra exposure we can give them now the better
Way I read this there won't be more $ for it just a way to give more exposure to get the $ due this season.

Good to get new sposors on board a JB Hi Fi or Commonwealth Bank with their yellow and black logos would work well.

Very unlikely for any sporting code and its club's to get new sponsor's now in the current environment
Key focus is keep the ones you have and get them to renew. Think all club's and codes can expect that there will likely be a drop in the $$$ on offer going forward on the short term
And just on your 2 suggestions. CBA sponsor's cricket in particular the Aust Women's team. They're being sponsoring them for over a decade. They actually pulled sponsorship $$ for men's cricket about 2 years ago
JB have never shown any interest in sponsoring sports. Their focus the last few years has been gobbling up their competition (buying other like companies). Think in the current economic climatethey won't be slashing $$ on sport sponsorship
