David King raised the prospect of shorter quarters hindering the Tigers, while Mooney believed the lack of a 90,000 crowd in the stands could be having an impact.
“It’s another 94 minute game. They’re playing in shorter games than any other team,” he said.
“I think fatigue is great for Richmond, they’re a smaller team, rely on run and gun, overlap handball, break the oppositions heart and then cash in.
“They haven’t had that luxury, the shorter quarters, longer breaks, longer gaps, maybe that’s a factor. Because they are set up to punish teams. They’d be neck and neck with other teams and then go bang.”

Curious stat for the day.
First 10-minutes of quarters:
Collingwood 3 of their 5 goals.
Hawthorn 7 of their 11 goals.
St Kilda 10 of their 15 goals.
We've only kicked 6 goals in total within the first 10 minutes of quarters since returning.
First 13-minutes of quarters:
Collingwood 3 of their 5 goals.
Hawthorn 9 of their 11 goals.
St Kida 11 of their 15 goals.
We've only kicked 7 goals in total within the first 13 minutes of quarters since returning.
Conversely, 10 of our 20 goals since returning have been in time-on (16+ min mark).

Running teams off their feet was definitely a trademark of ours over the past few seasons. But we also came out to play from the first bounce so the shortened quarters are not the reason we are playing poorly.
