I think that's fair enough TBH.
None of our players have been consistently good enough to be AA this year IMO.
-
Reckon Dusty is pretty stiff.
-
Floss & Grimes as always underated should at least be in the AA squad.
-
Looks like we'll just have to make do with the Premiership Medals and Norm Smiths.... :shh
-
Do they throw the premiership medals at the players from 1.5 metre distance?
-
The Auskick kids will be replaced by drones with the medals on a hook.... :shh

All-Australian form: The players from your club who are a chance
Ben Sutton

RICHMOND
Shai Bolton
The 21-year-old has taken his game to another level since moving to the midfield. Ranks elite in clearances, inside 50s and metres gained, while no one at Richmond has more than his 5.5 score involvements per game. An outside chance to make the squad.
Dylan Grimes
Won his first All Australian blazer last year and has barely put a foot wrong in 2020. Continues to shut down opposition forwards and once again got the better of Charlie Cameron, keeping him to just one goal in round 10.
Dustin Martin
While his numbers are down on his record-breaking 2017 season, the superstar Tiger is still having a great year. He is averaging a goal a game and also ranks elite in clearances, contested possessions and inside 50s.
Nick Vlastuin
Unlucky to miss out on last year's 40-man squad, Vlastuin will be a very strong chance in 2020. He is ranked second behind Luke Ryan in intercept possessions per game with 7.5 and provides great drive off half-back.

How Grimes and Vlaustin aren’t in is a disgrace
-
Well Adam Cooney just said he has Petracca in his AA side ahead of Dusty and Dangerfield.
-
Let the salties in the media have their all Australian'a we will just have to settle for the premiership. :snidegrin :snidegrin :snidegrin
-
Is it possible to win a flag with only one player on the bench in the AA squad?
I dunno, but I'd love to find out! ;D
-
Robbo in the Herald-Sun has Floss in his AA side along with Dusty.

^ I like it.....
-
Joke of an award.... :thumbsdown
-
Some odd selections...
-
How stuffen predictable!!! :banghead
The AFL gestopo shafted Grimes and Vlaustin because they got off their diving charges.
I'm sick of these idiots. I hope Richo is suitably embarrassed over the fact those guys missed out.
-
Richo probably overcompensating again.... :shh
The graphic of the team at the end depicting Caleb Daniel as being only half a head shorter than Max Gawn perfectly summed up the dodgyness of the entire affair... :shh :shh
-
I'd back us in against that team.
-
The backline is embarrassing.
How Vlastuin and Grimes aren’t in that backline is laughable!
-
I'd back us in against that team.
Like to see Dusty go head-to-head with himself... :shh

I don’t really think dusty would be in it this year although I thought he got absolutely shafted by not being in it last year so I guess it balances out.
Some really odd selections and an overall unbalanced side.
They only have 1 running defender with 5 key/interceptor types. Neither of the wingers are wingers. They’ve got 3 mids in the fwd line, at least dusty splits his time mid/fwd, danger less so and bont has no business being in the fwd line. Then they’ve got another 2 mids on the bench and a pure second ruck when very few teams run with 2 rucks these days.

Dangerfield leads All-Australian team, but Tigers snubbed
Michael Gleeson
The Age
25 September 2020
Star Richmond premiership defenders Dylan Grimes and Nick Vlastuin both missed selection in this year’s All-Australian team, with last year’s Brownlow medallist Nat Fyfe and Collingwood captain Scott Pendlebury also surprise omissions from the team.
Remarkably Vlastuin, regarded as one of the game's elite defenders, has never been an All-Australian while Grimes was All-Australian last year and proved his value in his return game from injury when he was best on ground against Geelong.
Geelong, Port Adelaide, West Coast and the Western Bulldogs each had three players picked in the team that had 11 clubs represented. Last year's premier and flag favourite Richmond had just one - Dustin Martin.
...
The All-Australian team is chosen by a panel comprising of AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan (chairman), Kevin Bartlett, Luke Darcy, Steve Hocking, Glen Jakovich, Chris Johnson, Cameron Ling, Matthew Richardson and Warren Tredrea.

All Australian team is a bit of joke while the continue to pick "names: rather than picking players for the actually position they play.
Bomtempelli is a very good player but he is not a half forward
The "Captain" play As mainly mid filed not half forward
I mean seriously
I never really rated it but every year I rate it less and less
-
Dangerfield captain?
He's the epitome of Geelong, home and away hero, but disappears in finals. Not a leader at all.
-
DBJ over the likes of Grimes and Vlastuin is laughable.
I don't think dusty deserves to be there this year.
And Dangerfield as captain is a dead set kick in the nuts to any half assed captain in the AFL. Flog of the year/decade.
-
No conspiracy theories required anymore its obvious that Shocking and Gilligan hate the RFC. Cant wait for these dippooes to be rissole'd
-
In same way Deledio made the bench in what was it 2014 from memory? I think Martin deserves to be there. He had that champagne patch in the middle of the season and also is a constant reminder that he can turn a game in a quarter. Maybe not starting 18 but definitely on interchange at the absolute least.
Their backline is a joke though.

Lol. Every group of hardcore fans feels the AFL is against their team.
Are they all right?....

Caro and Peggy discussed how the AFL hate us yesterday. Mick Molloy said the same on the front bar this week due to the AA selections. The evidence and acknowledgment of it is growing

Former St Kilda midfielder Leigh Montagna has accused All-Australian selector Glen Jakovich of ‘Western Australian bias’ when picking this year’s team.
“In the backline, Brad Sheppard I know he had a nice year, he was consistent but I thought Nick Vlastuin, Dylan Grimes, Jacob Weitering, even Tom Jonas and certainly Brayden Maynard all had better years than Brad Sheppard.”
