AFL list size discussion taking shape. Seems likely to fall at around 42 on each list. One leading proposal would be 36 on primary lists, four rookies & two category B rookies (international players, those from rival sports). Another would be 38 plus four rookies of club’s choice.

So how many do we need to drop?
-
We currently have 37 senior-listed players (excluding Rance), 5 Cat-A rookies & 2 Cat-B rookies (including Mate Colina).
The first option (36/4/2) would mean 1 less senior-listed and 1 less rookie.
The second option (38/4) would mean 1 extra senior-listed and 3 less rookies.
By the way, here is who is out of contract on our senior list:
Broad, Collier-Dawkins, English, Garthwaite, Houli, Markov, Miller, Nankervis, Turner.
Then there's our rookies:
Aarts, Pickett & DES (Cat-B) are out of contract.
Jake Aarts - second year in 2020
Liam Baker - third year in 2020 ... (contracted until 2021).
Mabior Chol - fifth year in 2020 ... (contracted until 2021).
Marlion Pickett - second year in 2020
Sydney Stack - second year in 2020 ... (contracted until 2021).
Derek Eggmolesse-Smith - third year in 2020.
Mate Colina - new (signed on for 2021)
