Some of the self funded / independent clubs are worried the AFL won’t fully fund their total player payments. It was a discussion point at the presidents and commission meeting today. The AFL has deferred a decision on dividends for next year at this stage.

If this nonsense goes ahead it Just further highlights why our Club is going to be impacted for the next couple of years :banghead
AFL is supposed fully fund the salary cap of EVERY club. But it appears those who have built strong club's are going to be disadvantaged

Screwing over one club and getting away with it is bad enough but the AFL is taking a big risk alienating so many big clubs at once. It risks the threat of a breakaway competition down the track if all these big clubs fear their financial well-being is at risk by remaining with the status quo. We've already got a couple now demanding a review of the whole league.
