Shai Bolton shows off his insane hops with absurd gym feat

Supremely talented Richmond youngster Shai Bolton continues to mesmerise with his abilities. This time however it wasn’t on the footy field.
Bolton showed off his talents on the field as he played a key role in helping Richmond secure their third flag in four years.
Now the 22-year-old is melting minds in the gym with Geelong’s Quinton Narkle uploading a video displaying his insane bounce.
With a bit of a run up, Bolton launches himself skyward towards a box jump that has been set up.
Set up at an incredible 60 inches (152.4cm), Bolton clearly surprises himself with the insanely impressive feat. Even having to duck down to ensure his head doesn’t hit the ceiling.
Patrick Dangerfield sent the AFL world wild earlier in the year when he showed off his athletic prowess by completing a 57 inch box jump.
Unfortunately the superstar Cat was surpassed by GWS Giants youngster Isaac Cumming who climbed a tower set at 59 inches.
Both men however have been pushed down the leaderboard with Bolton the new clubhouse leader for the AFL’s most freakish athlete in the boxjump category.

Absolute gun. Got more moves and tricks than a magician.
-
Zero relevance to football ability. If that was the case high jumpers would all be jets.
-
Yeah, it'd be better if he had no leap.
What a miserable post
-
That leap enabled Bolts to poach the ball over and from Menegola in the Granny and set up Lambert's goal.
Bolton also took that speckie in the 2019 QF against the Lions and intercepted Jeremy Cameron's pass in the 2019 GF. That ability to leap that high isn't just a party trick for him.
-
I think it's great.
Also something else Dangerfield isn't the best at haha
-
How does having an insane vertical leap add nothing to a players game :huh
-
Wake me up when Dusty, Fyfe, Judd, Hodge or Ablett post a video of them jumping on boxes
-
Grrrr grrrrrrrrrr I'm so stuffing angry too brother
We won't win another game with this going on
-
To be fair none of those guys could leap anymore close to that.
However if you watched the video a certain Patrick Dangerfield had the record when he posted himself doing the same thing previously.

Zero relevance? :huh
-
To be fair to Dangerfield, he took only a step or two and didn’t have a run up. That aside Bolton torched him for having an influence in the GF.

Dangerfield jump was phenomenal off a step
Still doesn’t win him a premiership medal

Maybe he should just go and become a high jumper?

Taking the pee right? That is explosive leg power right there. I reckon it might be pretty relevant in a few scenarios, burst speed, marking contests etc.
