RICHMOND

What’s most scary about the Tigers is how they lifted another level at the pointy end of last season.

They finished in the top four while ranking 17th for clearance differential (-5.9), 16th for centre clearance differential (-2.1) and 18th for clearances around the ground differential (-3.8 ).

But then they lifted in the middle, as from Round 18 to the Grand Final, they won both the clearance differential (+3.8 ) and centre clearance differential (+6.8 ), while still losing other clearances (-3.0).

It’s nice to have that ability to step up a gear in your back pocket.
