There's a new poll on the RFC site: "who do you think Richmond’s next NAB Rising Star nominee will be?"
Results so far:
Foley 21%
Hughes 54%
JON 19%
Pattison 2%
Meyer 4%
Your guys and gals thoughts?

Complete lottery.
Hughes looks like a classic leading forward and its hard to see him being nominated unless he takes a lot of marks and kicks 4 or 5, but if we are going in with Richo and Staff/Simmo up forward then he will have a chance against the third tall.
Really like what I saw of JON the few times he got the footy in his hands, just looks a natural and would be my most likely choice.
Foley - will he get the time in the middle to make an impact? Doubtful IMO.
Pattison - could be a while before we see his return with Knobel coming back.
Meyer - whats doing?
-
Foley is my tip to win the whole shebang if he gets enough time on the ground. At present he is second only to Tuck in getting the ball. Tuck gets a possession every 4.1 minutes and Foley is around 4.2 minutes from memory, so these guys are close to 30 possession per full game players. IMO Foley uses it better than Shane so I think he is a real gem.
This week though I think Cleve will get under their guard and kick 6 and snag the nomination. He is a sensational kick and his kicking the last two weeks has been off - look out for him capitalising on 7 or 8 shots to kick 6 plus at the Dome.

Clever :thumbsup Will kick a bag of goals this year and snatch a rising star nomination

Foley, Hughes and JON are good chances this year although Foley sneaks under the attention radar so he might not get noticed. Patto will take a while to fully develop while Meyer would be my smokey for next year. Add another 6kg over summer and he'll be at the size he needs to be to win the ball at AFL level (183cm, 82kg) and not get so easily knocked off the footy.

As long as we aren't Richo-centric then I agree Glove, Clever could sneak under the guard and snag a few. He kicked two vital goals last week at times when his teammates couldn't buy one.
