Ch 7 said Lambert is in. No mention of outs yets.
-
In: Kane Lambert, Will Martyn, Hugo Ralpshmisth, Ben Miller
Out: Riley Collier-Dawkins (omitted)
Source: RFC twitter.
-
That’s such a harsh omission. I know Lambert has to come back and rcd sort of gets pushed out the door… hope he takes it well.

That’s just about our best team all year
-
Happy to see Miller named - hopefully he makes the final 22.
Disappointed to see RCD drop out. I would have persisted with him although atleast he got a good block of games in.
Is Houli normally named on the bench? If not that is interesting and may point to him being dropped.

Doesn't look like the Club is hiding who will be on the bench. First four in and the sub to come from the remaining four (presumably Rioli again).
No RCD at all, not even as a potential emergency. Sounds like he is being managed rather than simply being dropped.

Don't understand the RCD omission :thumbsdown
Agree with Simonator, very harsh. Kid has done nothing wrong since he debuted.
TK, Bachar wax named on the bench for the Lions game but that was team of 22 + emergencies not and extended squad
Although lMHO Bachar should be dropped I doubt he will be
-
RCD hopefully just rested
-
I like the change made.
RCD isn’t much chop anywhere else on the ground but the middle with Lambert coming in there is a heap more flexibility because unlike the youngster Lambert can play in a variety of different roles.
The kid has been serviceable and has really done nothing wrong but last week highlighted that when not playing in the guts he doesn’t have much impact.
But he’s only young and he will get better hopefully eventually and more consistent, it’s been a really good taste for him.
-
Hope Miller plays. Tonight's game proves that sides need to win the contest in the air.
-
Who comes in if Prestia doesn't play?
-
I reckon Rioli comes in, Bolton more midfield time.
-
Prestia out.
SEN just now.
-
From the AFL website:
IN: Kane Lambert, (& Daniel Rioli into the 22)
OUT: Dion Prestia (Injured), Riley Collier-Dawkins (Omitted)

Geez Rioli back in makes the dropping of RCD even more annoying although I guess they could be resting him. Would have brought in a handful before Rioli though. Let’s just hope he kills it after a couple weeks on the bench.

It's about roles rather than personnel - always has been with Dimma. With Prestia out, Martin and Bolton will have to join the mids rotation (preferable ahead of RCD), so a hole opens up in the forwards, so Rioli comes in. This is solid thinking.
-
I think Rioli brought in for his speed since eagles gone tall.
-
Ch 7 saying "another star Tiger is in doubt to travel to Perth".
-
They just said Edwards looked sore at training but will still make the trip across.

This doesn’t make any sense. So Prestia (a mid) is out and to cover that loss they drop RCD (another mid) and move Bolton and dusty from the forward line into the mid rotation which is always their role. Not to mention lamber being back in who also splits his time between the fwd line and midfield. And somehow the result of all of this is that a forward spot had opened up rather than a modfield spot :huh3
-
Clearly RCD is being managed otherwise he'd be playing.
I'm guessing Hugo is next in line to come in if Sheds' ankle isn't right and will be the sub if Sheds is ok.
-
Give sheds a rest so he gets the extra week to get himself right for run home
-
We can’t rest too many. Need to win this one.

Yep. Bye coming up. Must win game. I'd be playing them if they're 70-80%

Yep, even more so with Swans losing last night.
-
Won't be a easy as people think even eagles got a few out like us.In saying that we bring our best we win there form at home very patchy.
-
Richmond has touched down in Perth ahead of tomorrow's clash with West Coast.
Veteran Tiger Shane Edwards travelled with the team, despite being bothered by an ankle complaint at training yesterday.

Hugo Ralphsmith is the medi sub tonight
-
Hindsight is easy but as Ramps mentioned during the game we were one tall short. As the old saying goes smalls get tired but talls don't get any shorter. We kept Darling quiet but Kennedy and Allen kicked almost half the Eagles score.
-
I wanted Miller named but I don’t think that’s why we lost at all. Had the game won and just kept making crazy stupid errors directly leading to goals. It’s not like any of JKs goals were contested marks in a pack. Took them all on the lead.
