This.
Headlines aside, this example is what started our little rot.. say what you want but with our enormously high standards of putting others first and being a family club. To leave ya Mrs who had so much impact on players for a hot young physio just killed that little special light and edge we had mentally over other teams. It happened slower than what I thought but this point has been hunting for a while. The Sydney game was when it started to show, and this is where we are now.
I'd lick as many kids as possible and lose every game to possibly get a pick 6 and an easy draw next year.

Was thinking this last night. Hate to say it but I think you are on the money.
-
Yep. Performances like what he and the club have dished up this year, makes you wonder his choice of a slapper and home wrecker have ruined the clubs culture.
-
Would be a natural reaction from a relationship perspective for the players to lose a bit of respect for the coach after that.

That stuff will see you going straight to jail buster

One of those years :P.

-
In - Maurice Jnr, Ralphsmith, Miller, Stack.
Out - doesnt matter. Play some kids.
-
Have to play Parker.
Why?
Probably worth playing along with few others like Miller to see if worth keeping

Did I miss something or are you talking about the comments about Hardwick’s personal relationship choices?
If it’s the latter I don’t know why it can’t be discussed considering the potential detrimental ramifications on the culture of the team and the possible effect on the senior players who may have had a significant relationship to Mrs Hardwick.
We also know that Daniel Rioli lived at the Hardwick’s for some time and hasn’t been in form all year (although he was frustrating at times last year and the year before).
Who knows but regardless it should be allowed to be discussed as a possible catalyst for the disaster we are seeing unfold.

Have no issue with any discussion about Hardwick's relationship situation and what if any impact it is having on the way the team is going.
But what is an issue is the derogatory terms being used on this thread and others to describe his new partner. Some of those outside of being sexist, misogynistic are boorish and childish. I don't think anyone on this site would want their partner or children describe that way (at least I hope they wouldn't).
And finally despite what many on here may think, there are women who post on this site so at a minimum show them some respect >:(

Saw him in the reserves, don’t see how he would be any good in the seniors, undisciplined and gave away too many free kicks

In some circles this comment would be seen as sexist. Sad but true in this mad world we live in.

Sounds like he’s a Richmond man :snidegrin
We have a few of those in the team

Keep it on the footy talk any suggestions Dimmas personal life affected our season is ridiculous.

I’m not sure anyone can be adamant either way.
It’s very possible it’s had some effect.
-
Sounds crazy but id be over the moon if we dropped 8 or 9
B: Mansell - Astbury - Grimes
HB: Vlastuin - Miller - Stack
C: Lambert - Graham - Pickett
R: Nankervis - Martin - Prestia
HF: Bolton - Riewoldt - Parker
F: MRJ - Lynch - Chol
INT: Cotchin - RC-D - Baker - Martyn - Dow - Ross.
Sheesh that would be 9.
No Edwards CC-J and Houli all injured.
No total butchers of the ball in Castagna and McIntosh both are pathetic.
No squibs in Short and Naish
No Aarts who is not up to it never has been.
Missed someone somewhere but that means they were probably forgetable.

A report for striking in the VFL could harm Sydney Stack’s chances of playing his first AFL game this season.
With Richmond’s back line in tatters following injuries to Noah Balta, Nathan Broad and most recently Bachar Houli, the back-to-back reigning premiers – who find themselves outside the top eight heading into round 17 – will be needing reinforcements for their game next weekend against Collingwood.
Mid-season draftee Matt Parker had 31 disposals in the Tigers’ VFL defeat on Saturday as he pushes his claim for a first senior game at his second AFL club.
Triple-premiership Tiger Daniel Rioli was also prominent, finishing with 26 disposals. His cousin Maurice Rioli jnr kicked a brilliant four-bounce goal but was otherwise quiet, ending with six disposals.
Ben Miller, Rhyan Mansell, Thomson Dow (medical sub, who came on for Callum Coleman-Jones) and Samson Ryan were Richmond’s emergencies in their loss to Gold Coast on Thursday night.

Replacing Bachar: New role could save Rioli, forgotten speedster an option

RICHMOND will strongly consider unleashing Daniel Rioli across half-back to replace triple-premiership teammate Bachar Houli against Collingwood on Sunday.
Houli is set to miss the rest of the season with a syndesmosis injury sustained in last week's shock loss to Gold Coast with Rioli one option to replace the veteran defender.
The Tigers have trialled Rioli in defence over the past fortnight with the out-of-contract 24-year-old collecting 26 disposals in a promising display against the Northern Bullants on Sunday.
Now Damien Hardwick will need to weigh up whether a player who has spent his entire 107-game AFL career in attack is ready for a recall in a re-shuffled backline ahead of a crunch fixture.
Forgotten speedster Sydney Stack is another option after playing in defence in recent weeks, while pre-season rookie signing Rhyan Mansell has played seven matches this season. Uncapped rookie Ben Miller is also a consideration should the Tigers opt for extra height after he was named an emergency last week.
Jack Ross was added to the Tigers' defence against the Suns to continue his experiment as a half-back, while Shane Edwards also spent time there with Noah Balta and Nathan Broad both out with their own syndesmosis injuries.
The Tigers are hopeful Edwards' ankle injury will have recovered off a 10-day break to face the Pies, while young forward-ruck Callum Coleman-Jones will miss with a calf strain.
Gun midfielders Kane Lambert (hip/calf) and Dion Prestia are also in the frame to return for the match at the MCG.
Mid-season draftee Matt Parker has also put his hand up for selection after an eye-catching 31-disposal performance on the weekend.

In the Mix: Round 17

RICHMOND
Another horror loss, another horror injury report. Bachar Houli (syndesmosis) will be out for an extended period, while it remains to be seen if Shane Edwards (ankle) and Callum Coleman-Jones (calf) will be right to play. Daniel Rioli and Sydney Stack have been building form in defence in the VFL, while sub Thomson Dow impressed against the Suns. If Toby Nankervis (knee) isn't right to come in for Coleman-Jones, Samson Ryan may be needed to partner Mabior Chol against Brodie Grundy.
Verdict: Dow into starting line-up for Edwards, with Liam Baker moved to defence. Nankervis for Coleman-Jones, and Rioli for Houli.
