VFL Round 17
Richmond (4-5-1, 11th) vs North Melbourne (4-6, 15th)
Saturday, 7th August @ the Swinburne Centre, Punt Road Oval.
Start time: 1:05pm.
The match will be played as a curtain-raiser to the two clubs' senior match at the MCG from 4.35pm, with the VFL broadcast information to be communicated later in the week.
The AFL remains committed to completing the 2021 VFL Premiership Season with all clubs playing 12 home-and-away games. The 2021 VFL Finals Series will commence on Saturday August 28 with the top eight finals structure with the VFL Grand Final to be held on Sunday September 19 at Marvel Stadium.

No mentioned of it being cancelled taz on either the VFL or RFCVFL sites/twitter accounts.

Now confirmed on the RFC website too.
Tomorrow's VFL match between Richmond and North Melbourne will not proceed as scheduled.

I really feel for the young players drafted in the last few years. Have had little opportunity other than training and irregular reserves games to develop and fight for a spot on the senior team especially on clubs towards the top of the ladder like ours.
A lot of these players will unfortunately get delisted as a result given all clubs must make a certain number of list changes to account for trades, free agency and the national/pre-season draft.

Yes
Because the AFL like the NRL and other full time professional sports have strict COVID Protocols in place approved by the various state health departments.
The VFL doesn't as it is not a full time professional comp. Eg Richmond VFL listed players have jobs outside of footy
That's the difference
Please don't whack me not saying I agree just explaining how it was explained to me
