Title: Should we have a pre-game song such as Mr Brightside?

This has been mentioned on twitter a couple of times today given the footage of Michigan's college football crowd singing 'Mr. Brightside'.


Make this our pre-game song. Can you imagine a full G singing “ But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me”.

No. No. One thousand times NO. I'd go so far as to say it's un-Australian. Putrid concept.

That's the whole point of the MCG: 10 teams play there and it is no-one's home ground proper. Pretty soon you end up with soccer hooliganism and ruin the cosmopolitan culture of the game.

No to European soccer and US college sports imports. Urgh!

YEAAAAH!!!! we need a real inspiring song like Run Rabbit Run by Flanagan and Allen. NO ! wait we could have some auto tuned R&B Hillsong God rap by one of Scotty from marketing's mates or Guy Sebastian for that extra street cred.
