2017 because 2019 was too easy.

But 2020 was the best of the lot.

2020 will be legendary. His goal in the 4th whilst Danger ate mud is genuine footy porn.

There’s no debate about 2020. Easily enters the conversation of greatest individual performance in a game of footy of all time. It’s the sort of performance that will go down in folklore.

2020 for me.

2017 he was amazing vs Geelol and good in the GF but I remember being there on the day and thinking Houli was BOG as my gut feeling.

Well the original post was about 2017 vs 2019. Which I picked 2017. But it 2020 enters the conversation then it’s 2020 hands down

The fact that he has won so many norm smith medals just shows what an incredible player he is on the big stage. His performances in the grand finals in 2017 and 2019 can't be separated however his performance in 2020 was unbelievable.

I’m not sure why the 2020 GF isn’t included in this comparison?
His 2017 game was mainly midfield - 22 contested possessions is a record in a GF (with Simon Black). His 4 goals in last year’s GF saw ball in hand for a collective 7.5 seconds.
In 2019, he was sublime as well but the game was a whitewash so it didn’t really matter.

Not sure which was his best game but that final goal vs Danger was our apex moment in this era to date.

My guess is it’s fro the mcg Twitter account so they’ve excluded his performance at the gabba
