What has been your favourite away game win?
It could be a win away interstate where you lived or travelled to watch the Tiges play.
It could be a win back long ago at an old suburban ground such as Vic Park, Princes Park or Windy Hill.
Or it could be an away win you simply watched on TV yelling/cheering at the screen.

Beyond doubt the 2020 GF in Brisbane.
-
I’m not counting away games when we played other teams who were also an away team-so mine is 2020 Prelim vs Port.

The prelim against Geelong in 2017 , it was the time I started to really believe

QF, not that it matters. Was there and couldn't believe the last half. Amazing.
For me it would probably be the 2020 PF vs Port in SA, followed by the GF vs Cats at Gabba.

West Coast 2019 . What a game that was .

I went to Adelaide when we played Port at the last game at the old Adelaide ground, unsure of the year but we had a win and had a great time.
The Port supporters were fantastic and had several beverages with randoms, had a great time and made sweeter with the win.

Round 21 1980 Arden St. Got there 8/8.30 am and got a seat on the fence near the cheer squad end behind post. Remember Q4 Wiley's goal, he seemed to be looking at me at he kicked sideways to get it.

The most recent one in 2017 against Freo at Subi. Townsend kicked five I think it was in his first game of the season. It was Jack Graham's debut and we know what happened after that :thumbsup
**** chose this one because I was there

Hard to go past the first interstate match I ever attended '82 v Swans at the SCG...11 years old staying with rellos up there during school holidays...got in with free tickets from Kentucky Fried for the hill but somehow ended up in the old Brewongle Stand over the other side....match had everything... came back from 49 points down at quarter time...BT kicked 7, KB 3, ...Wiley & Raines best on...all-in started by Rhys-Jones IIRC...... :gotigers

2020 PF vs Port ....... approx. 100 days on the road with everything in Port's favour (week off + feral home crowd) and we still won to make the Granny.
2014 R23 vs Sydney ...... made it 9 straight wins to make the finals against the ladder leaders.
1995 R3 vs Hawthorn ...... out in the wet at Waverley. First time in 10 years we had beaten the Hawks. Believed we would make the finals for the first time since 1982.

Great Topic!

Both of those were awesome to watch from afar and worth getting out of bed for (5.30am Miami time).
The best away wins I attended were -
Round 7 2004 against the Swans at the SCG. We ended up having a terrible year in 2004 and were big underdogs that day. I flew my Dad and I to Sydney to see the game (for his birthday) and I wasn't confident at all. Richo kicked 7 in the wet and we smashed them!
Round 9 2005 against the Lions at the Gabba. It was a must win for the Lions, we had started the year well but the Lions were still a champion team who had played in 4 consecutive GF's. Sat in a section filled with tigers supporters. Glorious win.

Rance's performance in this game, enduring the full body cramp and all, is possibly the greatest individual game as a key defender I can remember from recent memory.
Definitely one of the best of his career.
