Pettifer - Out of 125 disposals only 24 handballs :o. Not quite KB's level yet but getting there lol.
Kayne has also taken the most marks for us this year ahead of Richo.

true, good 4 a laugh but off , like richo, misunderstood
-
He's a big head - well documented ;) but he is producing more than ever before. Wish he wouldn't take speccies on the backline, and would kick a bit straighter, but he's getting more and more involved and would be well up there in the B&F.
Good work, Kayne :thumbsup

He needs to cut that out of his game, IMO it negatively affects his game.
-
I think the same DC. For players to be at their best, there needs to be some emotion in their game, but that sort of thing is a waste of energy. And it’s like he’s eroding his own confidence levels by worrying about something he can’t change, which is just added unnecessary pressure he places on himself.
So you’d think that when he gets to a point where that sort of thing doesn’t affect him, then he’ll be an even better play. It seems a matter of looking forwards, not backwards. It happened, move on to the next passage of play and make amends for it.

Did Pettifer get mark of the week for Round 8?

Did Pettifer get mark of the week for Round 8?
Yep he did Julz :clapping. Kayne might win it 3 weeks in a row. When he was interviewed after the game he said they have told him to go for his marks like he did when he was playing U18s. Pettifer was pumped up too after the game. He said the Club is going places :thumbsup.
Expert panel votes for Toyota Mark of the Year - Round 8
Kayne Pettifer 59%
Andrew Embley 24%
Brett Ebert 17%

Pets has really stepped up. Well done!
-
What great hands pets has!
Very impressed with his marking.
He has really surprised me so far this year in his improvement.
-
Watched the game and was really impressed with the way Pettifer attacked the ball. In the Frawley era he would have been too scared to go near it. He has really blossomed under Wallace's coaching. :clapping :thumbsup

64 marks of which 7 are contested of which 4 are speccies ;D
He's becoming a bit of a Russell Robertson.
Really useful player.

Pettifer aims for three

Australian Football League
Kayne Pettifer continues on his speccy spree and is a chance this week to win an unprecedented third Toyota Mark of the Year nomination in a row.
Following big grabs in round seven against the Swans and round eight against Adelaide, Pettifer flew high again in round nine against Geelong to again be up for voting.
This week he is up against two other previously nominated players in Brett Burton – for his acrobatic grab against Carlton – and Brett Ebert – for his strong pack mark against Essendon. After the Expert Panel round of votes, Pettifer is within striking distance of Burton to win again.
Kayne Pettifer 69%
Brett Burton 27%
Brett Ebert 4%
Total Votes:: 1003

The challenge is on for Kayne to pull something special out tonight in the speccie department if he wants to beat Macleod and Johncock and win mark of the week for the 4th week in a row.
-
It was good to see Kayne not get flustered by some ridiculous decisions against him. Another strong and mature game from Petts. He might want to though donate to the umpire's retirement fund to get back in their good books. That deliberate out of bounds he copped although technically there under the current new rules ::) and him getting reported going for the spoil, were up there with the two most stupid decisions ever. Talk about penalising someone for playing in the true spirit of the game. If the AFL want to spoil Aussie Rules then keep up with this crap.
If the ump who booked him doesn't throw it out himself on seing the replay then he shouldn't be umpiring.

Can anyone tell me if Petts made it 3 in a row for Mark of the Week?
