Hmmm played 4 big teams in Blues, Dees, WCE and Crows. 3 minnows in GWS, Saints and Dogs.
Seems about right to me.
-
No.1 now in both home game crowds and overall crowds :thumbsup.

I imagine our average will take a hit after tonight. I think with this weather on a thursday night we'll be lucky to get 25,000 people there.
-
Just 21k tonight. Well done AFL ::).

Thursday nights in the middle of winter is stupid. :banghead
Beginning of the year makes some sense and maybe bring it back a couple of weeks out before finals but June, July is just silly.

'Where's this Tiger army?': Rival fans mock Richmond after just 21,757 supporters turned up for dramatic win over Port Adelaide - the club's lowest attendance at the MCG in 12 YEARS
By Ollie Lewis
Daily Mail Australia
10 June 2022
Richmond's miserable turnout at the MCG failed to escape the attention of rival fans on Thursday night, with the Tigers recording their lowest attendance at Melbourne's most iconic ground in 12 years.
The MCG's official Twitter account confirmed that 21,757 fans turned up for the game - a figure which represents their lowest attendance at the MCG since 2010 - and fans took to social media to mock the 2020 premiers.

Oh please.
Nobody wants to go on a damned Thursday night.
I got home at 2315. Did some housework and went to bed at 0100.
Awake at 0600 again for work ffs.
Stupidest timeslot ever and I have to weigh up whether I go again next week and leave my wife at home alone with our 4 kids aged 8, 5, 2 and 11w.

With the rate you and the missus are pumping out kids its almost certain Norf will offer you a job in their membership department. Good job. Ensuring the next generation of tigers remain strong in number. 5 :clapping

Thanks mate what can I say, it's all the horizontal dancing I have to put up with :lol
8yo told me the other day he wants to go for the Dees like all the (bandwagon) kids at school and downgrade tigers to his second team. Could have thrown him off the balcony. Only Tigers gear for Auskick tonight I refuse to buy Dees poo

Dont let us down now mate! Stay strong dont cave in!

My little Grandson is just talking. His words extend to No. Mum, Da and Tiger. Thinking he is suitably brainwashed
-
I had no choice, why should they? All of my 26 cousins on this side are tigers. And that's not an exaggeration.
-
My three year old daughter loves Emma wiggle (yellow) and in general just loves yellow. It took no effort to get her in tigers gear. She loves al ball sports so I can’t wait for us to have a kick to kick when she’s more coordinated

Well done Andyy but don’t throw your kids off the balcony :rollin.
Just tell them it’s ok you want to barrack for another team but Daddy won’t love you anymore, it worked for all my kids. :rollin
Now all adults and they are all still Tigers :gotigers

Looks like a big crowd tonight. Ess v Carl.

WE CAN’T “GLOSS OVER” POOR THURSDAY NIGHT RICHMOND CROWD: CORNES
By Andrew Slevison
SEN
10 June 2022
Thursday night footy was back in Round 13, but the vast majority of fans stayed away from the MCG.
Richmond won ugly against Port Adelaide on a cold night in Melbourne with just 21,757 turning up.
It was the lowest home MCG crowd for the Tigers since 2010, not counting the two COVID-impacted seasons of 2020 and 2021.
Reigning premier Melbourne has been slammed in recent weeks for subpar crowd numbers and now the Tigers, who have sat top two for average home and away crowds in six of the last seven years (barring 2020), are the subject of derision.
As a result of the paltry attendance for a club with close to 100,000 members, Kane Cornes questioned why the Tigers fans stayed away while David King defended the low numbers.
“Really poor crowd, Thursday night footy, cold but didn’t look like it was wet,” Cornes said on SEN Breakfast.
“Why didn’t you turn up?”
King replied: “It was freezing.
“It’s a big difference. You can’t take kids to the footy in that temperature.
“So you’re losing families.”
Cornes: “So what does it mean for the future of Thursday night footy then?
“It looks horrible. It’s a great TV spectacle, but it’s back to the pandemic. It looks horrible when no one’s there.”
King: “We all know that it is a TV spectacle, don’t we?”
Cornes: “You know how bad it was when there were no crowds.”
King: “Clearly they (the AFL) would be disappointed with those numbers.
“21,000 is the lowest for a decade, but I do think it is set up for TV.
“People have seen the other option. Over the last couple of years, people have enjoyed the comfort of being at home, you get great access these days on both Seven and Fox.”
Cornes: “7:20 on a Thursday night, the biggest club in the land and 21,000 went.
“I don’t think we can gloss over that.”
King: “It’s very difficult to take your family in those temperatures.”
Cornes: “Ok, so let’s have Thursday night footy only at Marvel.”
The Thursday night crowds so far in 2022 have been:
72,179 - Round 1: Carlton v Richmond - (MCG)
34,961 - Round 2: Western Bulldogs v Carlton - (Marvel Stadium)
32,312 - Round 5: Brisbane v Collingwood - (Gabba)
24,327 - Round 3: Western Bulldogs v Sydney - (Marvel Stadium)
23,058 - Round 4: Port Adelaide v Melbourne - (Adelaide Oval)
21,757 - Round 13: Richmond v Port Adelaide - (MCG)
There are four Thursday night games in a row still to come:
Round 14: Richmond v Carlton - (MCG)
Round 15: Melbourne v Brisbane - (MCG)
Round 16: Brisbane v Western Bulldogs - (Gabba)
Round 17: Geelong v Melbourne - (GMHBA Stadium)
Despite the low attendance, Richmond remains at the top for average home crowds this season to date.

Only sailers use condoms :lol
In all truth we wanted a bigger family. 5 bed house so they have 1 rooms each at this stage.
I had no choice, why should they? All of my 26 cousins on this side are tigers. And that's not an exaggeration.

Lol yeah might try that too haha. I asked him if he doesn't want to come to the WCE anymore and he said of course he does. I'll convert him. Dees will fall off a cliff before long anymore.
My three year old daughter loves Emma wiggle (yellow) and in general just loves yellow. It took no effort to get her in tigers gear. She loves al ball sports so I can’t wait for us to have a kick to kick when she’s more coordinated
Took my 2yo to the wiggles earlier this year and I'm sure you know it's not Emma anymore :(
Was still awesome regardless. Not so secretly loved every moment for myself (and him)
-
Took my kids to a wiggles concert and watched three kids punch on for a better spot .. it was Bay13 worthy

Here’s a take:
@Richmond_FC 100,000 members - 21,000 crowd Thursday - 21% membership show up.
@NMFCOfficial 47,000 members - 21% turn up today is 9,870

Bitter and jealous much! :wallywink
-
AFLs Tigers averaging 50,000 folks per match at home for the year, in a year where the old Vic Big 4 dominate attendances - all 4 averaging more than 40k a game in 2022 - which isnt bad given the Bombers and Blues play a fair number of games at Marvel.
