We all know it's normal for "great" teams to have their fringe players poached or they leave for greater opportunity.
Which former tiger who was part of the dynasty era do you wish we still had on the books ??
I always loved Chol - and he's having a sneaky good season for the Sun's this year . 20 goals I believe. Would of been a natural successor to Jack .

Geoff Raines and David Cloke to the Scum. Closely followed by Maurice Rioli wanting to go to Sydney

At least Maurice didn't go.
The other 2? More disappointed in Cloke as the Captain walking out with his reasons never having been fully explained. Raines? Well he even admits he made a bad call in leaving.

What happened with Rioli and Sydney for those who remember ?.

They made him a huge offer. Was going and for whatever changed hid mind
When he came back he requested that he no longer wear number 17 as he felt he didn't deserve to. Moved onto number 27

Rioli was all but gone. The good doctor Edeleston poached him with a huge money offer.
We refused to clear him though, Sydney couldn't fit him into a already busted salary cap and a stand-off resulted. He sat out some games and then eventually came back with tail between his legs.
Was never the same player again unfortunately.
What hurt more was that Cloke and Raines had both left because Graham Richmond wouldn't give them a few more dollars to match what Rioli was getting. We ended up losing all 3 effectively and that was the start of our 30 lost years.

Ottens for me
-
Was sad to see Brando go.
Dan Butler also, always thought he was going to be good after his down year.

1. Geoff Raines - Lollingwood
2. David Cloke - Lollingwood
3. Bryan Wood - Essendrugs
4. Trevor Poole - Geesook
5. Brad Ottens - Geesook
6. Craig Lambert - Brisvegas
7. Jeff Hogg - Fitzroy
8. Matty White - Port Puffers
9. Jay Schulz - Port Puffers
10. David Rodan - Port Puffers
In that order - they all caused me some anguish
-
Stewy Maxfield was one that always peeed me off .. seeing him running around for the Swans never seemed right

Raines was dirty because he was the best in the business and was earning $30k/year. Rioli came in on $80k apparently.

I hated it when Sheedy left when he should have been retained as coach
Others have been mentioned but I would add Kevin Morris
It also was a bust when we gave up the Whale, Teasdale and Jackson for Pitura

Won us two flags, kid. You're not a true supporter :lol
-
Anyhow, Otto for me.
Schulzy well I was disappointed but I knew he was going. Dave Rodans treatment didn't sit right. But yeah, Ottens the only one that actually hurt my soul a little
-
More anguish at players who wanted to go but we kept:-
Campbell
Dutchy
Daffy
We threw some money at players who in hindsight we’d have been best to let go
-
Have to say I was also disappointed when they traded the late Jamie Tape.
Darn good player, so courageous
Don't even remember what or who we got in return
-
Omg gentlemen - no one has answered the question properly 😂😂
It was supposed to be dynasty era departures
-
I did.

Indirectly we got Andrew Kellaway.

Bryan Wood

I agree Ramps, but I was also devastated when Stewie Maxfield left. Kittens was a real disappointment too.
-
That should have been Ottens not kittens, :banghead

Was sad to see Brando go. :wallywink :wallywink :wallywink

As for not a true supporter, pathetic comment
-
I didn't think you'd fall for that one, Damo.
I thought Brave Brando was ridden pretty hard at times but it was good for both parties to move on after 2019. Went out with a flag, can't complain
-
I’ve always quite enjoyed my time at Kittens, personally.

Can tell who the oldies are who can’t stop living in the past. Quite wild when you consider the are recalling a terrible time in RFC history when we’ve had a great period only recently.

To play along with the nostalgia game, I didn’t care that he left but it did absolute hurt when Troy Chaplin tried to dance around Nahas only to get pinged and Nahas gave the biggest poo eating grin when he slotted it.
If we’re talking in the 17-20 dynasty era I will nominate Anthony Miles. I absolutely loved milo. He was undersized to be a full time clearance mid but boy oh boy he knew how to get contested ball! I know prestia was the upgrade and we couldn’t have fit him in but I wish we could have developed him in a different position or something because he definitely always had a dip
