Ticketek
Gold Coast
You can get tickets for 35
Says general sold out
Did this last time I came up
Just fleecing us tigers as there was no way GA was full
I had to pay premium at the gate to stand
And no one was there kinda
We get a good crowd there 16 odd but no way near full
pee off
-
Just saw a vid of Chol actually keeping his feet, throwing blokes off in attempted tackles and kick a goal....where was this when we had him???
-
He would do this one in 5 games then we think maybe this is his breakout game only to not back it up
-
He then proceeded to drop a crucial uncontested chest mark on the wing when Gold Coast were chasing a goal in the last couple of mins.
-
I bought reserved seats last week $69 each
We're only selling sessions in a handful of bays
No way the rest of the boys are sold out

AFL Round 17
Gold Coast vs RICHMOND

Anyone from OER going?
-
Yes, heading up Saturday morning :thumbsup

Now this is really a danger game. Seem to have a tendency to play crap against them and they have been much improved this season.
Whoever is playing on rankine, whether that’s Rioli or baker going back or whoever needs to be defence first. Rather have them get 10 possessions and shut him down then get 20+ and have him kick a bag and possibly win them the game.

King beat us up last year in the last qtr and they got us up there. This time he is missing but they have Rowell and few others that missed playing.
Without Dusty, Cotch and Noah I'm nervous.
Need big games from a few players including Short, Baker, Nank and Lynch.

Tarrant to casboult, Gibcus to Chol, Grimes to Rankine, Broad to Ainsworth and Vlas to play loose. Think out backline actually matches up well even without balta and out forward line should be too much for them to contain. Mid should be ok with Prestia back but yeah agree but light on in that area.
-
Hopefully Vlaustin has had his only bad game of the year (terrible vs Eagles) out of the way and can be as good as he usually is.
I’m expecting to win. We are a better team. But if we play as bad as we did vs eagles it’s not going to be a good day.
First we need to bring pressure and tackle better. We are so bad at tackling
Graham was terrible. I can’t see him play that bad again.
-
Vlastuin out suspended
-
Vlastuin out suspended
Deserved the week. Ends a terrible game from him.
-
Interesting selection this week.
Out Dusty, Vlastuin
In Prestia, who else (Miller, Martyn, Stack, Mansell) the options.
Soldo to get another week against Witts, too tall for Nank.
Castagna stays as sub, Lambert plays.
-
We will need legs & speed to play up there, expect wet & slippery but also warm & draining for our players used to cold. With Vlaus going out it opens the door for Mansell or Stack to play HB, whichever is the fittest (endurance wise). I'd leave Lambert at home (will run out of legs) & bring in RCD for Dusty & one of Martyn, Cumberland or Sonsie. Will be great to get Prestia back in.
We can win this one & well if we go about it right. Grind them hard & make them go the long way around all night, outlast them & they will fall away late.
-
I’m going :gotigers

finally after 3 years - Im back on the coast
Hope we win

Gold Coast has been dealt a further blow ahead of Saturday's game against Richmond, with running defender Oleg Markov in health and safety protocols. But it could help open the door for the return of Jack Lukosius from a knee injury.

Gold Coast Suns v Richmond Preview
Nic Negrepontis
SEN
6 July 2022
It may be too late for Gold Coast to make the finals, but they can still certainly do some damage and upset teams jockeying for position.
That is what they will attempt to do when they host Richmond in Round 17.
The Tigers will once again be without Dustin Martin who has suffered a hamstring injury, but the return of Dion Prestia would certainly help.
Gold Coast has been playing good footy despite recent results, pushing Port Adelaide and Collingwood all the way, but unable to secure the wins required to keep their finals hopes alive.
The Suns won the encounter last year at Marvel Stadium, despite five goals from former Gold Coast captain Tom Lynch.
Ben King kicked four, but obviously is out for the season. Instead, former Tiger Mabior Chol will lead the way alongside Levi Casboult inside 50.
This game will feature two of the most dynamic small forwards in the AFL with Shai Bolton up one end and Izak Rankine up the other.
Richmond is in good form and gearing up for finals, but this feels like a very winnable match for the Suns.
Tip: Gold Coast by 8 points.

As WP revealed - we're wearing our Dreamtime guernsey on Saturday.
Richmond will wear the 2022 Marlion Pickett and Jessica Nannup designed Dreamtime guernsey against Gold Coast on Saturday as part of NAIDOC Week celebrations.

A bonus for us given our outs. Makes up for Floss being rubbed out.

THE CERTAINTIES OF ROUND 17
Andrew Slevison
SEN
9 July 2022
Gold Coast v Richmond
Pickett to have 15+ disposals and take 3+ marks
Marlion Pickett has been superb for the Tigers in recent weeks.
Against West Coast last weekend, he had a career-high 25 disposals along with seven marks, six inside 50s and five tackles as one of his side’s very best.
That match took his season average to 17.2 touches as well as five marks and it is these two stats categories we will hone in on here.
Pickett finally gets the chance to wear the Indigenous jumper he designed with partner Jessica after missing out a few times this year.
Inspired by that, Pickett should take at least three marks and having picked up 15 or more disposals in eight of 11 games this year, he is primed to hit at least that tally again.
Ellis to have 15+ disposals
Former Tiger Brandon Ellis has been a fairly consistent performer for the Suns this season.
He is averaging 19.9 disposals in season 2022, falling under 15 touches just once in 15 outings.
In his two appearances against his former club, Ellis has picked up 17 and 28 disposals.
With that in mind, the premiership Tiger should find himself gathering at least 15 possessions on Saturday.
He may even find himself gracing the same wing as Pickett.

Just bank the 4 points that's all 4 quarters of good tuff footy get the game in our terms from the beginning.
-
Hopefully do what swans did to the Dogs early.
-
I was surprised to see footage of Dusty at training at Metricon yesterday. I wouldn’t have thought he’d make the trip up
-
Bring the same pressure we had against Geelong and we should win even with all the outs.
Cmon tiges !
-
Yep all about bringing the pressure at and around the ball especially the centre clearances today. Match them in the guts and our forward line should be too strong.
-
Too much handball. Sloppy.
Then poor defending.
0 - 6
-
Kmac soccers it inside 50. Smart unselfish play Sheds. In the pocket centres it to Pickett. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 1.0-6
GC 1.0-6
-
Pathetic defending again Tiges. How many mistackles?! :banghead
6 - 12
-
We're a bit off. No much pressure. Slipping over and fumbling.
Finally Short bursts away and hits up Lynch 35 out. Misses.
7 - 12
-
Prestia misses on the run.
8 - 12.
Dow in for Ross (injured) btw.
Lynch off getting treatment.
-
Look like we've lost Lynch to injury too. Hasn't come back on and is sitting on the bench after talking to the doc :(.
-
Off the pack -> Edwards goal :gotigers
Rich 2.2-14
GC 2.2-14
-
Terrible tv angles tonight. Is it just me?
-
Cumberland subbed in.
Lynch off and out :(.
-
Nice kick by Castagna.
-
Well Cumberland has his chance. Can he do a Townsend?
-
Poor shot by Cumberland. Shouldn't have missed that. George did well to hit him up.
What's the matter with Lynch?
-
Lynch hammy.
:banghead
-
Arent our blokes stretching before games. Seriously!
-
Some soft efforts out there. Put your body behind the ball Tiges and doesn't let them step through you :banghead.
15 - 21
-
Not sure how Ainsworth got up, looked shot last week. Can't be 100% fit
Looks ok
-
Arent our blokes stretching before games. Seriously!
Gee it's a problem isn't it.
Conditioning coach...
-
This one has shocking loss written all over it. Just hanging on here.
-
This one has shocking loss written all over it. Just hanging on here.
Not worried yet. Early days, I think suns will fade

Shai is a stuff. One step snap through for a goal :gotigers.
Rich 3.3-21
GC 3.3-21
-
Cumberland (just) gets his first goal :clapping :gotigers
Rich 4.3-27
GC 3.3-21
-
Great tap into space by Soldo to Prestia. Not to Cumberland's advantage but the Suns defender goes to ground and Noah gets his 2nd :gotigers.
Rich 5.3-33
GC 3.3-21
-
Quarter time
Richmond 5.3-33
Gold Coast 3.3-21
Goals: Cumberland 2, Edwards, Bolton, Pickett
-
Maybe he can do a Townsend
-
Cumberland 🔥
Should have 3 but gee he's in the right spots ain't he. Good for you mate I don't mind selfish if you're finding the goals like N Brown used to.
-
Hows our defence holding up. Im not watching or listening atm.
-
We need to find an extra one or two x factor players. In 2017 it was Townsend and Graham.
-
Weird game. Very open. More about rebounding from the back-half rather a forward-half game. We've been more efficient going inside 50 which is why we are in front.
-
Just need the 4 points today thats all
-
Hows our defence holding up. Im not watching or listening atm.
Better last 5-10 minutes as far as intercepting. Soldo filling the hole. Our first 15 mins was ordinary and we gave up two soft ground level goals.
-
Prestia long from the wing. Suns defenders completely miss the ball and Bolton waltzs into an open goal :gotigers
Rich 6.3-39
GC 3.3-21
-
Courageous mark by Miller in defence :clapping.
We get it forward. Should have been HTB against Rowell. Anyway it ends up with George in the pocket. Misses.
40 - 21
-
Terrible umpiring gifting us a goal. Ruins the game.
-
Short held (lucky) and then 50. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 7.5-47
GC 4.3-27
-
What an incredible mark. So talented.
-
Say it again. Bolton is a stuff! Short long and Bolts out of position takes the one hander. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 8.5-53
GC 4.3-27
-
Baker wins the ball at HB. Good hands to Graham through the middle goes long and George is held 35 out. Misses.
54 - 28
-
Back to basics Castagna. Practice some drop punt set shots and you could do alright. Getting to good spots and can still take a mark for a small forward.
-
Graham quick kick inside 50 and George on the move takes a good mark 35 out. Sprays it and it falls short. No score :P.
We get it back. Rioli gives on the wing and is held off the ball = 50m. Shot from 45 falls short but Jack crumbs the goal :gotigers
Rich 9.6-60
GC 4.4-28
-
Loving the game, loving the kids and loving the sunset.
-
You can't have guys like George and Aarts who can't make the distance from 35 out :scream.
-
Loving the game, loving the kids and loving the sunset.
Same here. :)
-
You can't have guys like George and Aarts who can't make the distance from 35 out :scream.
Bring back Brad Miller. :P
-
Exhibit B: Aarts again shot goes wide and doesn't make the distance :banghead. It keeps the opposition in it when you don't take your chances.
Lucky Cumberland marked on the boundary. Misses.
61 - 28
-
Baker again with the break open handpass. Hugo through the middle kicks long and it's paid front on contact to Cumberland. Misses as well.
62 - 28
-
Half-time
Richmond 5.3 9.8-62
Gold Coast 3.3 4.4-28
Goals: Bolton 3, Cumberland 2, Edwards, Pickett, Riewoldt, Short.
Dominated the quarter. Turned it into a front-half game which is our way. Actually should be further than 34 pts in front.
-
MRJ needs to lift. Chasing hard and a nice handball to set up Cumberland for his first but otherwise unsighted.
-
We've left 3-4 goals on the table .
Should be 50 up
-
Hows Ben Miller going?
-

-
Hows Ben Miller going?
2 disposals and a mark (mind you a courageous one). Keeping his man quiet so doing his job.
-
We've left 3-4 goals on the table .
Should be 50 up
Thanks to George's 2 behinds and one no score and Aarts two no scores :scream.
-
Graham straight through two Suns and drills it from 50 :gotigers
Rich 10.8-68
GC 4.4-28
-
Pickett is making a habit of those high juggling intercept marks defending the opposition kick out.
-
Why do I get the feeling we've entered foot off the pedal time.
-
Our last 3 kick-ins have been dumb and aimless. Lucky not to be punished.
-
Holding the ball is dead apparently.
This has all the signs of us easing off and getting sloppy.
Just once can we go on and get past 50 points before easing up?
-
Overcommitting in the marking contest twice :banghead.
Then 50 for dissent gifts them a goal :banghead.
68 - 37
-
Why do I get the feeling we've entered foot off the pedal time.
Seems that way
Need to switch back on
-
That was holding the man to Dow. He never took possession?
-
Here we go.
Really tired of this and to be honest it's why we are no chance to win the premiership this year imo.
-
Another goal to them (Dimma will hate giving a defensive stoppage goal away).
68 - 43
-
Continually leaving the defensive side of contests open :banghead.
Small not front and centre :banghead
Another goal to them :banghead
69 - 49
-
Here we go. Same thing different round.
-
Same old script.
We get lazy and waste easy shots and don't get full compensation for our dominance.
Then the other team realizes we're not putting them away.
Then they start winning the clearances and contested ball.
Then they get a run on.
Then we are relying on individual brilliance to score enough goals that they can't catch us before the end of the game.
Really really really poor. This Richmond team doesn't have the mentality or hunger to win the prem this year.
-
Why can't we ever put teams away.
Infuriating
-
Forward stoppage. Suns defender dives on it and it's HTB.
Aarts another shot from 35. That's better Jake. Goal! :gotigers
Understatement to say we needed that steadier.
Rich 11.9-75
GC 7.7-49
-
Poor option and kick by Bolton going to Maurice. Turnover.
Then more poor defending at ground level in our D50 :banghead
75 - 55
Be nice if we can win a centre clearance. This is a repeat of the 3rd qtr last week against the Eagles.
-
This is putrid.
Selfish from Bolton. So poor.
-
That's where Bolts has to learn to do the bread and butter stuff. We love the freakish stuff but when it's a basic handball over the top then do it.
-
SO F***ING BAD RICHMOND!!!
F***ING WAKE THE **** UP!!!
-
Pickett intercepts the cross defensive kick by the Suns 35 out. Misses.
77 - 55
-
Nank quick kick to HF. Two Suns spoil each other. Bolton gathers and finds Jack = Goal! :gotigers
That's a gift!
Rich 12.11-83
GC 8.7-55
-
It's attitude.
Take your chances. Respect the chances you get when you're on top. It's like we have a circus of players lining up to miss as many shots as possible.
-
3/4 time
Richmond 5.3 9.8 12.11-83
Gold Coast 3.3 4.4 8.7-55
Goals: Bolton 3, Cumberland 2, Riewoldt 2, Edwards, Pickett, Short, Graham, Aarts.
Crap quarter although we steadied in the last 5-10 mins.
-
Aarts again fails to score :scream.
-
Pedal off the gas IMO.
Lots of talent to welcome back - Lynch, Cotchin, Vlastuin, Dusty, Balta etc.
-
Coast to coast goal to them :banghead.
83 - 61
You can't carry small forwards who keep failing to score.
-
Another aimless kick-in that goes straight back into our D50.
Then poor defending again at ground level.
83 - 68
-
This is so bad. Seriously this team is kidding themselves if they think they're a chance this year. They don't have the mentality for it.
-
Nankervis is possibly playing his worst ever game..
-
Sublime checkside goal from Jack.
Leadership in a kick right there.
-
Tarrant to Jack on the boundary 40 out. Wow ... great banana kick and goal! :gotigers
Rich 13.11-89
GC 10.8-68
-
Good pressure there but this is all starting at the clearance. Lots of tricky stuff not a lot of basics and winning our own ball.
-
I know the handball wasn't great to George but that kick :facepalm.
-
I also don't understand why we play this jerky jittery nervous play on at all costs stuff when we are 20-40 points up. Sometimes just chill and chip it around for a while. Get some energy back in the legs and take the sting out of the game.
-
Bolton brilliant and more importantly took the bread and butter option to Maurice. Maurice misses from 35.
90 - 68
-
Aarts did the hard stuff well but misses from 20 in front :facepalm
91 - 68
-
Omg Aarts, Rioli, seal the stuffing game ffs.
-
Not sure where the umpire found a free kick 30 out directly in front from but it really doesn't matter we are f***ing around again.
-
And they make us pay for missing another sitter :banghead.
91 - 75
-
I am so sick of this. Aarts & Castagna
If we haven't got better than this we don't deserve to play finals
They are hopeless
-
I'm sorry Jason but I think that's it mate. Some players just have the jitters and you're one of them.
-
You idiot George :facepalm
-
Someone put a bullet in George's knee ffs
-
If this bloke Castagna plays again I’m not going to another game.
:banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
-
I rest my case
-
Why do we get the jitters? What are we so damn nervous about? Half these guys are triple premiership players.
-
Brainfade 50 by Short.
92 - 81
-
Shorts 50 was an absolute disgrace
-
Ahhh the final ingredient has entered the arena: the umpires pulling free kicks for the opposition out of their arseholes.
-
Geez we're playing dumb.
-
He will kick it.
-
:banghead
Sickening! :banghead
-
They just threw away finals. What a bunch of idiots.
Led by Castagna.
Bloody idiot!
I’m declare I’m not going to another Castagna game.
I’m done with him.
-
Honestly you play Aarts and Castagna what do you expect
-
WELL DONE DIMMA...CASTAGNA AND AARTS...GREAT INS
-
So stupid. Goodbye 2022. No excuses we have been throwing games since round 1. We were never a chance this season. Such a soft underbelly.
-
stuffing CHOKERS
-
Season over. Pathetic
-
I picked the Suns, so I'm flying 4-0 :lol
-
I guess we could blame the selection of Aarts and George but one of them would not have been selected if Floss didn’t cop a week for a petulant act.
-
Don't just blame George and Aarts I agree there momentum killers , but the whole side stopped working hard enough and thought the game was done no composure or footy smarts and dumb footy chance after chance to got what we deserved.
-
Weekend ruined
-
There's really nothing to say. It's there for everyone to see. They just don't have their eye on the prize. Soft.
-
Weekend ruined
100%
Stupid f***ing football.
-
What a bunch of clowns.
-
WE TURN TO WATER!
no leaders
dumb decisions
panic
wasteful
can’t kick
no killer instinct
water
how many times can a club lose a match by a goal after being 30-40 points up?
it’s astonishing …
-
Can't recall a worse loss.
We still have not worked out how to defend momentum. Issue was last year. And was glaring round 1.
If we can't fix this then we may as well focus on 2023.
-
Don't just blame George and Aarts I agree there momentum killers , but the whole side stopped working hard enough and thought the game was done no composure or footy smarts and dumb footy chance after chance to got what we deserved.
True. Aside from the second quarter, we were defensively poor. The number of times we didn't put our body behind the ball and allowed the ball out the back or overcommitted at the marking contest allowing Gold Coast players to run free from the mark rather than allowing and standing the mark to hold them up did my head in :banghead.
Just too much dumb panicky footy :help.
-
Also Shai Bolton is not the new Dusty for us. Not even close. he doesn't have that Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, Ronnie O'Sullivan ice running through his veins like Dusty does.
-
In my view there are big question marks for our two Captains..... They are not leading by example
-
Honestly I don't even want us to make finals this year because if we served up a loss like that in a final that mattered against a big side it would break my heart.
-
Worst I've felt after a loss for a long time. Worst thing is I knew it was going to happen from about 10min in to 3rd quarter.
We lack killer instinct.
Pathetic loss and now have to cop all the poo for a week from mates and oppo supporters.
I hope it stings the whole club.
-
Got to feel for WP, Julz, Frankie and other OERites who had to watch that debacle live at Metricon :P.
Right now I just feel a mixture of numbness and being ticked off :rant.
-
No effort in the last quarter expecting others to put the hard work in. Very disappointing by our team tonight who will be lucky to beat North this week
-
Three tweets that accurately sum up today :(.
Why are our leaders doing dumb, undisciplined things? The Short 50m penalty, the Grimes push in the back that cost a goal.. inexcusable. It’s the Richmond we’ve come to know in 2022, can’t hold a lead!! Disgraceful, no excuses
If we we reviewing ourselves internally regularly then the penny hasn’t yet dropped, because the ill discipline and easy goals left out there are killing this season slowly by a thousand cuts and we are not learning the lessons we would normally. Beyond disappointing
I always have defended this club, even stupidly so but this is the worse loss I have seen in a very long time. Picking players who are so limited in Aarts and Castagna, over kids of quality like Sonsie, Clarke, Baker etc. It is fitting Aarts and Geroge created 24pt turnaround
https://twitter.com/Richmond_FC/status/1545699269264703489
-
Multiple critical misses by :shhmany, and they were easy shots.
George
Cumberland
Bolton
Aarts
Pickett
All very easy shots…all missed. Scoreboard pressure is everything :shh
-
I have no words
-
We lost top 4 tonight but we will make the eight and then its a 4 week season. Anything is possible.
-
We lost top 4 tonight but we will make the eight and then its a 4 week season. Anything is possible.
Too many injuries hurting us now sadly. We've lost our ruck division tonight on top of Dusty, Lynch, Cotch, Balta with Lambert a week to week proposition. That's a third of our best 22. Plus we don't have the depth like we did to cover them :(.
-
This one has shocking loss written all over it.
Told ya. :rollin
-
Absolute umpiring tragedy and RFC disgrace
-
A lot of hyperbole on here tonight. I didn't tip us, and expected us to lose tonight, mainly because of our outs. The devastating nature of the loss brings out some stupid statements, but I reckon we were always a better chance of knocking off Freo and Brisbane at home than winning this one. Now, with the extra injuries, we are not even guaranteed of winning next week. A season can change like the wind :-\
-
The dust settling, still a very hard loss to take.
The worst result from today is injuries to Lynch and Nank. Lions had a mare vs Dees. Dee's also embarrassed at GMHBA. It's one of those seasons like 2016 that whoever is in form and fit will win it this year. So to have the outs we have plus two next most important players out. That's the worst result rather than taking 0 points for the game.
Need to get our best players on the park at the right time. Our depth isn't good enough, as shown today.
-
Absolute umpiring tragedy and RFC disgrace
We can't blame the umps when we miss sitter after sitter in front of goal :(.
-
Weekend ruined
The kind of loss that makes you not want to go to work Monday, touch a newspaper or watch TV.
-
Three tweets that accurately sum up today :(.
Why are our leaders doing dumb, undisciplined things? The Short 50m penalty, the Grimes push in the back that cost a goal.. inexcusable. It’s the Richmond we’ve come to know in 2022, can’t hold a lead!! Disgraceful, no excuses
Hitting someone off the ball, giving away a goal and getting suspended in the last 5 minutes of a game we had in the bag

Yep, Floss' stupidity made worse by today's loss.
2022 - the year of the brainfades for us :scream

Guttered
-
It was embarrassing
Players should be embarrassed and ashamed :banghead
Worst loss of the season. Unforgivable to lose like that. The last 5 minutes was amateur

A positive: good to catch up with WP again
-
The sun came up thankfully. Still in the 8 but don't think we win enough games to stay there.
Still gutted and have to deal with all the choking messages from mates.
-
Unfortunately that’s exactly what we did - choked
-
That Noah kicked the last goal killed me. Another young man fanatical Richmond supporter plays with this rabble instead of us. I know its professional sport but as a club we should be targetting kids like Noah.

Noah’s kicking is quite poor. I was actually thinking he would miss the kick but Ofcourse he kicked it knowing our luck.
He had 6 goals for the entire season before yesterday and then managed to snag 2 against us.
-
Why didn’t they put Baker in the middle in the last?

Yes super positive
Great to catch up with you Julz :clapping

We don’t deserve to make finals. I had a slight hope that we could
Still make a run in the finals if healthy but I have no belief anymore. Full rebuild mode for me !

The Saints and Dogs losing means we stay in the eight
I think we will stay there. Up until today I thought we could do some damage but after last night's debacle I don't think we can

I think we can if we get some riff raff out of the team.
Finals are 6-7 weeks away. Dunno if Nank would be back but if we managed to get Cotchin, Dusty, Balta, Vlastuin, Nank etc all back at the expense of idiots like Castagna and even Aarts we could be better than useless.

Oh my goodness - no less than 4 articles in today’s Gold Coast Bulletin about the Suns beating us!

They've had their 2 best wins in their history (both after the siren) against us. Why wouldn't they.
This one is worse than the Karmichael Hunt loss.
-
In all seriousness
The Suns have improved it is a credit to them
12 months ago, 40 points down they would have folded like a deck of cards.
Yes we let them back in with our arrogance and lack of respect towards them but they kept fighting and they deserve a helluva lot of credit for that
Our players could learn something from that attitude

They won't learn. Didn't learn it with Carlton, Saints,.Crows, Swans, Cats.
Leadership concerns IMO.

AFL Report Card: Round 17

RICHMOND
The one that got away and one that will hurt a hell of a lot. How on earth did the Tigers drop a 40-point lead? Everything fell apart for them in that final term as they coughed up six goals and kicked just one the other way. That, coupled with a heavy injury toll from the game, has thrown a significant spanner in Richmond’s premiership tilt.
In the votes
Shai Bolton was enormous and threatened to single-handedly win the match for the Tigers. Daniel Rioli continued his career-best season off half-back and Dion Prestia had some good moments in the middle. Jack Riewoldt stepped up with three goals in the absence of Tom Lynch, as did Noah Cumberland, who could’ve finished with a handful. Dylan Grimes was a wall in defence — until the final moments.
Room for improvement
That final quarter was a horror show for the Tigers. The Suns moved the ball in transition far too easily and in the dying moments there were some costly lapses in defence. There were some facepalm moments up forward as almost-certain goals went begging. The injury toll is significant.

Hugo on AFL360 last night said they reviewed the game on Monday and yesterday and there were stuff honest discussions about it.
The proof will be in how we respond from here onwards.

Haven’t responded all season as it’s happened time and time again. So there’s your proof Hugo.

If someone had told me pre game , Richmond are going to lose by two points I would think - yeah that sounds like par .
Gold Coast have been extremely competitive - have beaten good teams like Carlton and Fremantle up there .
Its just the calamitous way we played in the final quarter that stings the most .
