 Best Chance: Dion Prestia
Prestia was injured early in the year, but returned to become Richmond's most reliable midfielder. He will have some competition from Shai Bolton and Tom Lynch, who will steal their fair share of votes, but expect the onballer's clearance and contested work to see him surge clear of his teammates.

One-Vote Wonder: Marlion Pickett (v West Coast, round 16)
He won a premiership on his AFL debut, but could he now earn his first Brownlow Medal votes? Pickett's move to a wing paid dividends this year and a performance against West Coast, where he won 25 disposals and kicked two goals, should see his season recognised.

 RICHMOND

Shai Bolton’s midfield-forward split, coupled with the breathtaking moments of brilliance he displays, surely caught the umpires’ eyes throughout 2022. He’ll be one to watch for the Tigers throughout the night and Dion Prestia is right in the mix for most votes after his brilliant season, which is made even more remarkable by the fact he was injured in three of his 18 regular season games, giving him effectively 15 weeks to tally. It’s a testament to his importance to the side when fully fit. Tom Lynch arguably had a career-best season and some big hauls on the scoreboard surely see him rewarded.

 Favourite: Dion Prestia ($201)

Karl Amon says hi against us in round 13. 29 cheap outside possies of which 9 were clangers in a game they lost. Rozee and Boak were the only threatening Port players that night and the reason they kept Port in the game. Prestia had 25 possies (12 contested), 6 clearances and 6 inside 50s was easily the best player on the ground.

If you are a midfielder who get 41 possies and has 12 clearances yet your team kicks just 8 goals and loses by 5 goals, I'd be questioning what that midfielder did with all the possies; not lazily give them 3 Brownlow votes (Cripps).

Can't wait for somebody to launch an appeal ...      :-\

What a joke - should be ineligible

And the icing on the joke cake

 Cripps wins

Miller doesn't even get a vote in round 23..

Seriously, it's fair to say the umpires have had a shocking year all round in 2022

 Side note:
Prestia plays all 22 games bloody good chance he wins the thing
-
Prestia polled real well. If he didn’t miss 4 games and get subbed out of 2 others maybe could have given it a shake.

				Lol @ Neale sucker

 Don't mind Cripps.

As for eligibility well I don't mind if a Brownlow medalist has smacked someone as such but it's more that he shouldn't have been playing & polling votes for me.

Oh well what a crap award anyway. Except for when dusty won it that was clearly mint

 Talking in general

If he plays a full season he'd be chance to win the thing

Yep, it was effectively 6 missed given he went off early in two games plus he went off at 3/4 time against the Eagles in Perth. So Prestia only played 15 full games and polled 5x3 2x2 in 7 of them. Gets through the other 7 he missed or was subbed out and he would be a strong chance to win it given as a team we were in virtually every match this year.

13 Tigers getting votes is a decent effort for a side that finished seventh. And that excludes Dan Rioli who didn't receive a single vote :huh3. Only the Pies and Freo had more players.
