Bring. IT. O...
No, no I can't do it. Let's just play and see what happens.
-
Noble sacked!
-
Great - wait for their performance of the year
Edit: also really pathetic by Norf. Less than two years in charge with that list, easily the worst in the league. He had no chance and no opportunity to fix anything.
-
Ofcourse they get a new coach the week we play them. doesnt even make sense either, they just had their best performance all year too.
-
Could also mean they have their worst game too. Which I think we will need with all the disruption to our structure due to injuries
-
Ofcourse they get a new coach the week we play them. doesnt even make sense either, they just had their best performance all year too.
We had them for their last coach sacking too - Rhyce Shaw took over and they smashed us.

Yep, they kicked 8 goals straight after half-time :help.

Would fit in nicely with our current form.

Jason Horne-Francis will return to the senior Kangaroos side this weekend. Provided no hiccups at training tomorrow obviously.

North to 'tweak' their gameplan to become more attacking.

Let's face it, if we can't win this one or play motivated pack it in.

Norf are Garbage 10 Goal + win
-
Journo: "Are you conscious at all of the so-called new coach bounce?"
Dimma: "No question! As we played them last time and got rolled by them. So it's a challenge because as coaches we love predictability. We think they may play the same, but we're not quite sure. So it's going to be a challenge. And, you know, most clubs have a bounce and, you know, they respond accordingly. And we've just got to make sure we're up for the fight. And, you know, we know where the game will be won and lost against North Melbourne. It's in the clinches. They are a really good contested ball side, control the ball through the back half, then move the ball through the corridor and fast out the back. So, we know how they play. Whether they play that way this week under Leigh 'Patch' Adams, we're not too sure. But once again, we'll get a fair idea I reckon pretty early on."

WHO WILL WIN AND WHY? THE PREDICTIONS AND TIPS FOR ROUND 18
Alex Zaia
SEN
14 July 2018
North Melbourne v Richmond
It’s been a tumultuous week for North Melbourne.
Following last week’s narrow loss to Collingwood – their 14th straight defeat – the club parted company with senior coach David Noble on Tuesday.
The Kangaroos lost patience with Noble, who won just five of 38 games at the helm, leaving the 1-15 Roos rooted to the bottom of the ladder.
North Melbourne’s VFL coach Leigh Adams will act as caretaker for the remainder of the 2022 season.
Adams’ first game in charge will be against Richmond at Marvel Stadium on Saturday.
The Tigers are coming off an after-the-siren loss to Gold Coast after leading by as much as 40 points in the third quarter.
While the defeat could prove costly, Richmond is still clinging onto eighth spot after teams around them slipped up.
Their finals destiny remains in their own hands.
The last time the Kangaroos changed coaches mid-season was in 2019 when Rhyce Shaw replaced Brad Scott on an interim basis.
In a quirky stat, Shaw’s first game as caretaker was against the Tigers, guiding the Roos to a 37-point win at Marvel Stadium, the same venue where this weekend’s match will take place.
However, it’s unlikely that history will repeat itself on this occasion.
Tip: Richmond by 40 points.

All H&A games are l8fe on foxtel Ramps. All of them
-
Thanks everyone
-
Barrett's confident we'll win tomorrow and are still a chance for the flag.

IF ...
Lynch is a big out ...
THEN ...
Cotchin and Balta are big ins. Tigers won't be losing to North, and are still in the race for the most unlikely of flags.

Danger game for Tigers as new Roos coach aims to extend spooky post-sacking record
The Tigers (9-7, 116.4%), who sit just inside the eight and must keep winning to retain its spot, will know the dangers of a team playing under an interim coach mid-season for the first time, with four of the past five interim coaches winning on debut. They were Mark McVeigh (GWS Giants), Rhyce Shaw (North Melbourne), David Teague (Carlton) and Brett Ratten (St Kilda.

THE CERTAINTIES FOR THE REST OF ROUND 18
Lachlan Geleit
SEN
16 July 2022
North Melbourne v Richmond
Davies-Uniacke to have 25+ disposals
North Melbourne midfielder Luke Davies-Uniacke has had perhaps the two best weeks of his career in the last fortnight, with huge games against the Cats and Magpies respectively.
The young star backed up his 35-disposal game away in Geelong in Round 16 with a best-afield 33-disposal, 12-clearance outing against Collingwood at the MCG.
Considering his form-line and Richmond’s lack of midfield depth, expect Davies-Uniacke to get his hands on the footy plenty of times on the fast deck of Marvel Stadium.
Vlaustin to have 20+ disposals
Richmond defender Nick Vlaustin will be keen to make amends after missing last week’s agonising loss to the Suns with suspension.
Returning this week, the 28-year-old will have a point to prove and he’ll be glad to come up against a side he has a great recent record against.
Last time out against North Melbourne, the reliable backman had 30 disposals, 14 marks and six score involvements in his best in one of the best individual performances of his career.
Expect the leader to show why he’s so critical to this Richmond side on Saturday afternoon.

Oh no, it's Dwayne 'OH BABY!' Russell commentating. Now my enjoyment of the game is capped from the start.
Maybe mute with a radio broadcast on.
-
Nice to see we've learned from our mistakes: set shot miss from 20m out, slight angle.
-
Got to take our chances after last week :banghead.
-
And they make us pay at the other end :banghead.
-
Let's hope we learn from last week missed chances ,brain fades and play 4 quarters.
-
Nice mark by Jack on the wing. Gets it to Graham who finds Cumberland 35 out. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 1.1-7
North 1.0-6
-
Bad luck. Gibcus from 50 hits the post.
8 - 6
-
My gosh we look so much better with cotchin out there.
-
Cumberland looks like he has the forward smarts
-
Cumberland looks like he has the forward smarts
Couldn’t agree more, he is a champion.
-
Cumberland from the pocket misses.
He gets another chance taking the mark 35 out on a slight angle. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 2.3-15
Norf 1.0-6
-
Cumberland looks like he has the forward smarts
Couldn’t agree more, he is a champion.
He’s started brightly but wouldn’t go that far :lol
-
Cumberland looks like he has the forward smarts
Couldn’t agree more, he is a champion.
I'm going to read that as agreeing with the Cotchin comment. :)
-
Both our sides leading by 9 points atm.
-
Looks like we're toying with our food a bit here. Not taking them too seriously.
Hope we put the foot down for a 100pt win
-
Wasting chances :banghead.
-
We don't take our chances and then they get a goal at the other end :banghead.
17 - 12
-
Edwards couldn't tackle a ham sandwich seriously they just breeze past him.
-
Oh good I love a sequel.
-
3 Tigers up and none down :facepalm.
17 - 18
-
What a pathetic performance this has been do far.
A lot of lairising going on and not much tsckling
-
Umpire being a idiot and crucifying Nankervis.
-
Geez our tackling is brutal. It’s almost as bad as our discipline.
-
Dumb and ill-disciplied again :banghead. 19 secs and we give away a 50 and a goal on a siren :facepalm.
1/4 time
Richmond 2.5-17
North Melb. 4.0-24
Disgraceful. Haven't learnt a thing :banghead.
-
More arrogance and complacency...seen enough.
-
Book your holidays people, we ain't playing finals. Time for a rebuild.
If Dimma can't arrest this lack of discipline it might be time for him too.
-
Do we know why Nank is on report?
-
Who was the idiot who punched the ball back into play for that last goal?
Seriously how stuffin dumb can you be?
-
My internet dropped out what happened with the last goal? A I'll disciplined 50?
-
Do we know why Nank is on report?
I think they said knee to the head?
-
The ump literally told Dion 5 times to give it back.
-
Umpire being a idiot and crucifying Nankervis.
He's playing like a wanker let's be real about it
-
Do we know why Nank is on report?
I think they said knee to the head?
Knee didn't touch his head. Will get thrown out imo
-
Book your holidays people, we ain't playing finals. Time for a rebuild.
If Dimma can't arrest this lack of discipline it might be time for him too.
I've never fully shaken the suspicion that his workplace infidelity on the Gold Coast shat all over everything we'd been building at the club and maybe it's time for him to move on.
-
Do we know why Nank is on report?
I think they said knee to the head?
Knee didn't touch his head. Will get thrown out imo
The only vision is from distance and you can't see anything. Only repeating what was said.
-
We lack leaders out there. Some of our set ups around stoppages are brutal and deserved to get punished.
-
Goal zuuhaar absolutely peeweak defending. Effing useless crap
-
Doing our best to lose this one as well :banghead.
Getting smashed in the clearances in the last 10 mins (late 1st and so far in the 2nd). That's what has turned the game North's way.
-
Jack misses from 40. Bad kicking is bad footy :banghead.
-
So far it's the classic North pulling them out their arse 5 straight to a lazy 2.7.
-
The goals are between the two big posts Tiges :banghead.
-
6/9 I50s
-
I think we're going to lose. I don't think we have another gear in us anymore.
This has shades of 2021 all over it, albeit the slump coming a little later in the season.
We might not win another game for the year.
Pretenders. We don't belong in big boy month.
-
Jack another peeweak miss. Hang them up mate you're stuffed
-
Jack had two free Tiges running with him too.
We playing panic footy. Not keeping our heads.
And they can't miss at the other end.
Shooting ourselves in the foot again :banghead.
-
7/10
-
Embarrassed
-
All above the shoulders.
-
Lol umpire misses an obvious free to Jack. Sheesh I hate umpires.
-
Get Baker on the ball.. what is going on
-
All these points is also just gifting them freebie rebounds with the new rules as they are.
-
Oh man, we are bad bad bad.
Horrid football.
-
8 goals straight. Geez
-
We miss from 20 out while they get leg breakers for goals.
6 goals to them from stoppages to zip. Mids need a kick up the backside.
-
Very hard to watch. I thought last week was bad
-
8.0 to 2.9
Pathetic I'm about to turn it off
-
What happened to using the basic drop punt?
This goalkicking is worst than auskick :banghead.
-
They want more then us simple workrate and we got to many passengers cruising around don't take our chances and undisciplined as usual poor skills Dimma needs give them a rocket.
-
I think it's time for Riewoldt and Edwards to hang 'em up. Let's trade in a couple of young, A-grade mids and hit the draft for KPFs and more mids. I can't watch another season of this. It's tragic to see a great team turn into this.
Law of diminishing returns.
-
Hooray! We finally put one between the big sticks. Baker goal!
Rich 3.11-29
North 8.0-48
-
Wtf was Jack doing there just waiting for the bounce when it was there for the taking
-
Hugo has to go harder
-
Wtf was Jack doing there just waiting for the bounce when it was there for the taking
More arrogance
-
Jack time is up for me.
-
Where’s the awareness?
-
Jack is sooo cooked. 1 handed half arsed attempts.
-
Can we land a tackle?
-
Jack has been pathetic
Tackling pathetic
26 points down to this rabble of a club
Lazy, unaccountable, pathetic football
-
Who’s on Zurrhaar?
-
Our tackling (if you can call it that) has been abysmal :banghead.
We've just been mentally lazy and clueless. Rushed kicks and lazy long bombs inside 50 and zero pressure the other way.
Where's the leadership and cool heads out there. Playing this at a million miles an hour rather than using our heads. Just playing into their hands having this open bruise free slingshot game. That's what they want :banghead.
-
Absolutely shameful performance.
Season over. Disgusted. Embarrassed. Furious.
Will always be grateful for your work Damien but you've been pathetic last two weeks.
-
It's rebuild time
-
Fmd we are making norf look like a top 4 team and Zuuhaar AA forward.
Nank is a terrible captain. He's given away 4 free in a half of footy at least.
Backline is crapping bricks.
Forwards are useless geez Jack is so stuffing pathetic he just wants cheap goals.
-
Serious question. Is it time to look at the coach and a rebuild
-
The saddest part is we are playing as though we don't care and don't want it. Bruise free footy.
What's even sadder is this is so predictable. We've gone back to bad old "Richmondy" days :help.
-

Plain dumb football out there no composure , passengers they want it more what's the problem why a we seeing this repeatedly every week Dimma and players say they a addressing it lol. Been saying it for a while lack of leadership out there our 3 time premiership players go missing.
-
Serious question. Is it time to look at the coach and a rebuild
I think Tim Livingston will be looking at this. Hardwick hasn't addressed long-term faults in our game for 12 months now.
-
Yes- the first half was predictable. Our backline has been week for a while, but tonight takes it to another level. The worst performance of the year.
-
The stats reflect how embarrassing this 'performance' is.
9 more inside 50s yet we're down 5 goals :banghead
Almost 10% difference in disposal efficiency and they've had 50 more possies.
Btw, CCJ has had more clearances (4) than any Tiger :facepalm.

https://www.afl.com.au/afl/matches/3957#player-stats
-
We Need:
Balta back. Gibcus forward.
Baker into the midfield.
Lift workrate the obvious one across the team.
-
Okay game over. That could have sparked something.
Something very very wrong in the heads of this year's team.
-
We got the turnover but how many Tigers were ballwatching and reactive :banghead.
Cotch saved the day there.
Bolton misses :scream.
As supporters, we can't kick the goals for you Tigers :banghead
-
Lazy lazy out there not wanting it working hard enough we're is our pressure and harassment.
-
We are not getting the bounce of the ball. That happens. But who is the Wanker commentator on Kayo. What a biased FLOG
-
Cotch is the only one senior player using his head out there.
3 shots all missed :banghead.
-
Finally! Short goals.
Rich 4.15-39
Norf 10.2-62
-
Selfish Bolts. Short was free for the handball.
-
Long bomb from 55. Goal!
Kisses his black armband.
Rich 5.15-45
Norf 10.2-62
-
We suck so stuffing bad. Their stuffing ruckmen runs it out of the center and underground handballs to set up the goal. So soft at half back.
Disgusting. Disgusted.
-
Ralphsmith that was crap
-
Poor disposal in the middle, then fumble and poor disposal in the backline costs us a goal.
-
First hands at the centrebounce but we fumble the backwards handball and then Hugo panics and dives on the ball in defence. Gifts Norf a goal from a rare inside 50 :banghead.
Amateur hour :banghead.
-
Three Tigers ballwatching and failing to make a tackle :facepalm.
-
50m to Nank for a Norf player being in the protected area.
Misses from 20m out :facepalm.
Amateur hour plus plus plus :banghead
-
Two goal turnaround Nank you absolute disappointment
-
We just turned into a shocking football club overnight.
Urgh. Where's the vom bucket I thought I'd retired 5 years ago.
-
And they of course goal from the kick-in :banghead.
General play we could come back but not if we can't kick straight. It's feels game over because of our pathetic goal kicking :banghead.
-
Goal to Jack.
Rich 6.16-52
Norf 12.2-74
-
Our leaders are rubbish today. What’s happening? Have they been watching and getting tips from Sleepy Joe Biden?
It’s been a leadership meltdown.
A true end of an era. It’s quite embarrassing but I guess they don’t care anymore because they are triple premierships champions.
It was good whilst it lasted but when the end comes it’s not pretty.
-
Do not deserve this we all over the place.
-
CCJ tapped it down to Nank who got the centre clearance.
Two in a minute to Jack.
Rich 7.16-58
Norf 12.2-74
-
Serious question. Is it time to look at the coach and a rebuild
Thats actually a very good question.
-
Gibcus off the ground with a shoulder :-\.
-
Balta goal on the siren! :gotigers
3/4 time
Richmond 2.5 3.12 8.16-64
North Melb. 4.0 10.2 12.2-74
'
Goals: Riewoldt 2, Cumberland 2, Baker, Balta, D.Rioli, Short.
-
Oh good, all the unfunny morons from Best on Ground are preparing to clown around after our clowns have left the field. All I need is Dwayne 'OH BABY!' Russell providing audio description commentary of the show.
I want to meet the 'writers' of that show. They have the sickest, darkest sense of anti-humour I've ever seen. ("Hey Freddie, do you really think they'll let us keep airing this poo?")
-
Cmon lads. Get it done.
-
The question now is do we have juice left to run out the game after getting back into it?
Both teams have both thrown away games.
-
Yes we do.
We were just super wasteful in the first half.
We started converting and now we are back in it.
Started with Short nailing his set shot.
-
Cotch to Bolton to Nank out of the middle. Good fight from Cumberland at ground level and snaps a goal :gotigers
Rich 9.16-70
Norf 12.2-74
-
Gibcus subbed out. Aarts on :-\.
-
Aarts fmd why.
He will probably kick a goal but whatever
-
That was HTB against Greenwood - not paid.
Cumberland held -= not paid
::)
71 - 75
-
Another handball backwards in D50 stuffed up and we gift them a goal :banghead.
-
Miller on the run from 60 and it goes through :gotigers
Rich 10.17-77
Norf 13.4-82
-
Transition from D50 again. Baker hits up Jack 45 out. Just clips the post.
78 - 82
-
If you fart and your whole body vibrates just a poofteenth is it play on after a mark these days? stuff umpire you moron.
-
Seriously Jack, that’s a peeweak effort.
-
Balta called to play and hits up Jack. Pulls it to the left.
79 - 82
-
Hugo's inexperience in defence has showed today. Too many errors.
-
How did Balta miss that from there :scream
80 - 83
-
Hugo's inexperience in defence has showed today. Too many errors.
Give the boy a haircut a have him go through Francis Bourke's 82 pre-GF training regime.
-
Free for too high to Graham 30 out. Goal! :gotigers
In front!
Rich 11.20-86
Norf 13.5-83
-
Bolts on the run misses.
87 - 83
-
Good trade.
Good trade.
-
Where were our tall defenders to allow CCJ to mark that? :banghead
Lucky he missed the sitter.
87 - 84
-
Don't allow youngsters to do the kick-ins :banghead
-
THAT WAS SO poo.
Can you even imagine this team playing a cutthroat final.
-
That was a terrible kick in option.
-
Again inexperience from Miller. Rushed it and put it OOTF
-
Aarts :banghead
-
We’ll you reap what you sew. Terrible options and Aarts… WTF are you thinking!
-
Aarts
What
The
F
Kill him
Just shoot him dead
-
Only got ourselves to blame.
:banghead
-
Did not deserve to win that.
-
I smell a footy department review.
-
Aarts??
-
Hardwick is done now guys. Thats it. Its over and its rebuild time.
-
It's clear we're not good enough and the club needs a good hard look at itself with the selection of players on game day.
Funnily enough it will be Aarts for Castagna next week.
You've got to laugh.
-
Same as last week. The era is over it’s time to get games into the next generation. Sonesie stays ! Get RCD whether or not he stays who cares
-
Hardwick is done now guys. Thats it. Its over and its rebuild time.
I think he needs to go and enjoy those inner suburban dog walks with his 30yo Danielle Hardwick trade-in and let the club move on. Sheesh. The egos in the place at the moment.
-
Look everyone will blame Aarts but just about everyone was at fault. Riewoldt kicking 2.6 lol seriously Jack, the team kicking like 5th graders at goal. Its actually laughable if it wasnt so serious.
-
Sonsie is a player. The only positive out of today.
-
We will probably remain in the eight. But have to wonder what Freo will do to us next week.
-
Freo will beat us by 10 goals
-
I normally don’t respond to these situations but …. how many times do they need to see that Ardts is simply not up to it ….. for crickeys sake do not let him play a senior game ever again …..
-
Sonsie is a player. The only positive out of today.
Cumberland
His mark late and guts to take it on and land a perfect kick inside 50 was sensational. Pity the bloke on the end of it was Aarts
-
Bad kicking is bad footy. Simple as that!
22 behinds when most of them were gettable is amateur hour. Unprofessional crap! :banghead
Two weeks in a row we are the joke of the town from our own stupidity :banghead.
-
Sonsie is a player. The only positive out of today.
Cumberland
His mark late and guts to take it on and land a perfect kick inside 50 was sensational. Pity the bloke on the end of it was Aarts
Yes I apologise. Cumberland was good. How about Cumberland and Sonsie play before Castagna and Aarts. I think its a good idea.
-
I have always given Aarts the benefit of the doubt but after hi day today I would delist him immediately.
Shocking decision. Could have won the game for us.
-
Sonsie in his first game had the most composure of the lot of them.
-
How do you kick 22 behinds? Wowee
-
Thank God for forums where I feel less alone. I wish we could all get drunk together (We'd all still kick straighter after a skinful at 2am with the floodlights off.)
-
I’m in!
-
I honestly thought were taking the pee in the first 10 minutes of the game and lairising. Before we knew it they'd kick 7 goals straight. There's the game.
-
Book your holidays people, we ain't playing finals. Time for a rebuild.
If Dimma can't arrest this lack of discipline it might be time for him too.
I've never fully shaken the suspicion that his workplace infidelity on the Gold Coast shat all over everything we'd been building at the club and maybe it's time for him to move on.
Interesting point.
Ties in very neatly with our drop off the cliff. Players don't seem to do it for the team since this moment.
Wonder if there's truth to it.
-
I thought last week was bad and said I was embarrassed
This work is worse and again I am embarrassed and angry
Our players should be ashamed of that performance.
It was pathetic, disgraceful and any other word you want to use
The most damning thing was the lack of leadership again. It is a major issue now

Jack Graham that is, captain.
I was baffled he wasn't when we went dual. It's a mistake and needs changing. Kicked a clutch goal at end when everyone was missing. Was brilliant in 2017 GF. The 2018 prelim is legendary and when he plays well we get really win.
Needs to be captain next year imho.
-
Stats for the game anyone?
-
You know what makes it worse. North got out to a 5-6 goal lead, we came back and actually managed to get in front and they were still good enough to win the game. If the roles were reversed (like they have been many times this season) we still lose that game.
Something wrong when a team full of majority of 2-3 time premiership players can’t handle the pressure of being in close games in the H&A season after playing in so many cut-throat finals.

I agree. I'd be changing the captains. Hasn't worked. Quirky decision that felt off at the time and has proved to be so.
For a long time I thought Vlastuin was captain in waiting, but he was caught up in the Mabior Chol anus fingering thing--he seems like a bit of a goofer--and with suspensions like those against West Coast he's just not captain material.
They used to say we needed leaders all over the ground--and they're right--but it doesn't mean everyone is captain's material. Nank is a battler type player deep down. Cotchin was pick 2 and a Brownlow medalist before we were good. Even Grimes started life as a battler. Let them and Riewoldt and Vlastuin etc be leaders in their respective lines, but you need someone of solid character and exemplary behaviour who is going to get picked every week as captain I reckon. Graham fits that bill for me. Good age bracket too. (As long as he doesn't turn into our Selwood.)
-
Sonsie had 19 possies. Thats a good start for the kid.
Sam Banks had 20 again in the twos and
Brown had 24 and hes starting to really show good signs too.
-
Geez
Nank and Grimes certainly aren't doing a marvellous job but Graham, at times, has been lucky to make the 22.
Reality is the only person fit to be captain is our previous captain
-
We have lost the ability to kill games. Our composure is non existent by our ageing stars. Grimes defensive efforts lately are a clear example of where we sit…average at best. His lack of positioning to allow that late goal was under 10 stuff. Nanks positioning in the ruck contest was just as bad. Vlastuin doesn’t play tight enough and is undisciplined. The list could go on….
Yes Aarts stuffed up but seriously, as a group we are a shell of the past.
Play for the future as we don’t have the list to win the flag.
-
We keep saying it weekly undisciplined , missed chances , poor skills or fade outs none has been rectified. Today was a different level lazy , intensity and poor leadership were was the fight and hunger from the last 2 weeks or pressure and tackling gone backwards after cats game.
Our senior group besides a few have showed lack of leadership no composure or experience for 3 time premiership players alot we're quick to jump on George and Aarts they a not up to it 100% , but it's a team issue complete waste of season from going to push for top 4 2 games ago to this now.
As for Dimma has to fall on him ultimately and take responsibility , but let me say players have a big part.Jack for me doesn't get another contract been selfish and trying to do to much.

Ain't this the sad truth. Stuff me I said we look better with him out there and we do. He's the only real leader we have. The rest are all crap
-
Bit of criticism being thrown around. Liam baker had 9 disposals.
-
Baker hopefully goes west and Andrew Dillon gives us a mid first round pick as compo.

Yes that's what happens when he gets dumped at HF for reasons that no one's been able to explain
Some truly bizarre match ups and positional moves tonight

Bizarre really is all i can say.
-
Aarts fmd why.
He will probably kick a goal but whatever
That goal sounds a bit better now doesn’t it..
-
So filthy at the club last 2 weeks cost us top 4 and now maybe the 8 thought this crap was in the past footy department need a good hard look at themselves.

Beaten in tackles
Wonder who were the zero and one tackler players this week? I’m guessing a few were our foreards given how pathetic we have become at it.
Embarrassing
-
Got what we deserve.
Most undisciplined team in the competition by a country mile . Leaving wins on the table .
Captains are the worse culprits - what a disaster this co captains appointment has been so far .
Jack - 2 goals 6 ..... FFS

Matty Lloyd's summary from the Sunday Footy Show:
Go to 3 min mark: https://twitter.com/FootyonNine/status/1548462620851654657
* Richmond will be devastated as they were energy sapping misses. Some of these misses [see vid] are not AFL standard. Singled out Baker, Kmac ("gimme for an AFL player"), Balta, Nank and Jack. It hurts you because you do all the hard work and then you just give the ball back to the opposition via a kick-in.
* Richmond copping what they deserve because this is the 5th time they've given up a lead. It's become a pattern.
* Cornes added that Richmond would be scratching their head because late in games they've been undisciplined. Eg: Grimes on Zurhaar who kicked that late stoppage goal. They're not the team they once were and at the moment they are just one of the teams making up the numbers in the Eight.
-
Hard to argue with that
-
Some things really stand out and they have for ages and ages.
We are credited with tackles but i wager the vast majority are not effective. Still think this comes down to the number of small players we play.
Most sides are just standing up or running thru tackles and dishing off at will.
SHEESH how often do we have to talk about the lack of skill and polish. Said last week we had so many and we had hit critical mass
And if it is not a lack of skills and polish its a lack of plain old common footy smarts and even a combination of both.
How many games are we going to keep dropping because we just won't acknowledge the problem players we have in these areas.
All well and good to blame Aarts and Castagna but FFS THERE ARE STILL PLENTY IN THE SAME CATEGORY.
Also it is so clear a seeing eye dog can see the need for a big inside mid or two. I would call this situation dire and the club negligent in this.
The only real highlight for me was Tyler Sonsie and having screamed out for games to put into him and others we finally get a look in round bloody 18. Did the kid waste a disposal?
The lack of key forwards who can at least compete has never been more high lighted. The same as the big mid situation it is dire and borders on negligence.
Last we do not have an accountable medium shut down defender, you blokes know the type one who defends a player at all costs and is rabid if an opponent gets a kick. How many times do we have to be burnt by players like Cameron bloody ZURHAAR.
I remain adamant if we had some bigger bodies better skilled and adequate depth in talls we would be top 4 right now and looking a 4th premiership in the eye instead we have sat back and done little in areas that obviously needed attention for some while now.

Another "expected" 5 goal win thrown away :thumbsdown.
#AFLNorthTigers Final xScores:

Very hard to stomach knowing we have basically thrown 7 games late. Even if we won just under half of them and were sitting around 12-12.5 wins we'd be top 4.
Absolute rabble.
-
Old habits have creep in and we destroyed our season last 2 games.
-
Old habits maybe , but I suspect old legs and football old minds might have a bit to to do with it also
-
Old is one thing most of our players aren't! Many haven't had a chance to develop any habits (positive or negative) at all!
Against Norf we had 4 players with less than 20 games experience - R-Smith(18), Miller (6), Cumberland (3) & Sonsie on debut).
Then we could've named any of MRJ (11), RCD (11), Dow (13), Clarke (3) & Ryan (1) as well.
Take out a few blokes around the 300 game mark & our average experience nose dives dramatically!

I have one really Important question. Who was responsible for the Zurhaar debacle? Coaches or players? He honestly spent a fair chunk of the game with his opponents standing 10 metres from him. Defensively I don't think in all my time watching Richmond that I have ever seen a bigger debacle. Deadset ridiculous. Stupid or arrogant?
-
On the Couch last night showed some highlights of us playing the Roos the last time they sacked their coach and you could only tell the difference because Soldo played last time and not on Saturday. It was Groundhog day: Zurhaar had a day out and North won. Rinse and repeat! :scream
-
With this in mind we didn't plan for Zurhaar? Seriously this is disappointing.
-
Look at the Kangas this week, how did we lose to them?
What a disgrace
-
Was thinking same thing. 50 points down after 1 qtr of footy..
-
That's what gets me upset 😡 2 winnable games sun's and toos we blowed all because of stupidity.
-
Poor coaching , must of thought they were going to a picnic
-
Look at the Kangas this week, how did we lose to them?
What a disgrace
Respect, it about respecting your opposition no matter where they are on the ladder.
We didn't, went out thinking it was given and we got what we deserved for being arrogant
But without doubt watching the Roos today and how the Hawks went about it makes last week's effort even more embarrassing
-
I reckon they played their grand final last week to make a statement for the new coach and are now back to tanking.
Hard to ask for a priority pick when you keep winning games.
