How did we all rate Hugo's year?
-
I like his run and endeavour his got a bit of show about him , but need to clean up his skills and kicking to move forward.
-
Would like him to step up and impose himself on one of those wing positions. He provides the pace that I think we lack on the outside.
-
Terrific improvement from 21-22.
Has great run and is a beautiful long kick.
Like many young players needs to improve strength and fitness.
Short kicking needs work.
Being groomed for a wing position eventually I'd say.
-
Gave him a 6.
Showed improvement in a lot of areas but obviously has a few things he needs to keep working on
His attack at the contest is one. So as others have mentioned he needs more stength
While understand people are suggesting he could make it as a wingman. IMHO he would need a vast improvement on his defensive gut running. No where near Marlion and KMac in that area right now
Attacking run is good but defensively he has a lot of work to do.
-
Improved in every statistical category so can’t ask for much more than that.
Contest work, strength, short kicks and contested marks are areas I’d like to see him build on especially if he is aiming to win a spot on the wing.

This.
Improved running capacity in the pre season would fix this. Had great pace, a superior kick on the run to both current wingman and more upside so it is up to him to match their defensive running by stepping up his pre season running capacity.
-
Needs to get harder at the contest which will come with time.
-
I think he has a long way to go with defensive work. He’s been in positions numerous times where he wanted the 1-2 return of the ball when instead he should of dishes off and shepherded instead. (Not alone in this deficiency though)
