Two most talented and AFL ready juniors listed in the emergencies. If they're fit, play 'em -- Sonsie and Cumberland.
I haven't kept up with our VFL side but Clarke looks like a skinny kid whereas Cumberland plays like a man. Sonsie too.
-
More talent in that emergency list besides Clarke.Dow was the closest replacement to Hooper in and under along with Sonsie.Stiff on Miller to.Hugo doesn't impress me besides speed his skills need to improve.
-
Not a fan of the ins but what can you do. Let’s hope for the best lol
-
Ross and Ralph-Smith.
FMD how many times have we gone to those wells, and they've come up dry.
Ross is slow and a turnover king and Ralphy is scared of body contact.
At least Cumberland and Sonsie have shown something at senior level.

Just pick the blokes with form, fitness and attitude.

Bringing in Hugo and Clarke obviously means were trying to add more speed. But if it's wet then we also need those who can win their own ball as it will be more contested with the ball more on the ground. Dow or Sonsie would be better at the latter.
Mansell in the 22 on a HFF sounds like he's going to get the job on Nick Daicos.
-

Agree with what you are saying. Clarke and Hugo have come in to add speed. You need speed in the forward line if you are going to have three talls in the forward line and we cannot rely on Maurice to do everything in the forwardline. If it is wet we are maybe too tall in the forwardline. I would have preferred if they had brought in Sonsie or Dow in instead of Hugo. Also if it is wet Cumberland would also be a real asset and provide a real alternative.

One of the blokes on the BF podcast last night said he's been told that Ryan could be a late out for Sonsie given the weather forecast for tonight.

I wouldn't drop Ryan Nank needs a chop out to.
Edit: Fixed quoting.

I am not sold on Hugo, would have bought in Sonsie, though it seems Ross is the Hopper replacement
Appreciate I'm in the minority but I reckon we are a massive show in this game, massive
-
I fear we will get badly exposed tonight. Hope I’m wrong !!
-
WP I also think we are a chance too purely from the backs to the wall perspective and I think/ hope this group still has a lot of pride especially before a big crowd
What’s your take?
-
Of course I would like to see the Tigers put on a decent show tonight- but all that matters is that they’re playing decent football when it gets to Big Boy month .

Agree with you Gigantor
Also think it being Dimma's 300th will impact. Players love the bloke, love playing for him so that hascto factor in.

I will be pleasantly shocked if we win this one, not because we are bad but because Pies are up and primed already whilst we are slowly and surely moving into the season.
-
I find the team selected really weird. I guess
Cumberland comes on for Ryan, Riewoldt or Lynch late in the game. But personally, I thought a back up mid makes more sense for this game.

Agree CT. We're using the sub as plan B if we find we are too tall up forward in the wet rather than having someone we can bring on in the second half to give us extra run when everyone is getting tired.
-
What's the bet Ryan struggles in the weather, Cumberland comes on in the 3rd and kicks two goals then doesn't get selected the week after.
