I don't use photoshop but I would presume it's like other image editing programs like GIMP and you open two empty/new windows. The first for editing each individual pic. The second for the collage. You upload a pic in the first window and "cut" it. Then paste it in the collage window and move it into position. Then go back to the first window and repeat for each pic you want to add to the collage. Once the collage is done you save it. That's how I did the Richo one for Julz.

Pretty straight forward Moi..
1. .Choose the image size you want to start with say 1024x768
2. Start copying and pasting in all the pics you want. Remember that each pic you paste is it's own layer which allows you to move them around the screen using the move tool (arrow with a +)to get the result you are after. You can also individually resize each pic in photoshop to suit.
3. Choose the layer that you want to move and you can also go to the layer menu and choose the 'arrange' option to adjust where the layer sits in a vertical sense and how it overlaps other layers (Like a deck of cards)
4. then once that is done, you can flatten the image or just do a 'save for web' in either a Jpeg, GIF or BMP format.
There are some other funky things you can do like edge blending clipping paths and transparent backgrounding but they require a bit more explaination.

Use WS FTP PRO instead for uploading and downloading files. More reliable than Filezilla.
Left window contains the files and directories on your computer and the right window contains those for your webpage. All you need to do is click and drag from on side to the other to transfer the file(s).
