I can see by this thread that the Nth Melbourne fans are on the money - nobody cares about them. ;D
3. Schimma not right, so how about John Dugdale or Noel Teasdale? Before my time of course. 8) ::)
ps Still amused the Greig answer was correct. He stole his other Brownlow off Leigh Matthews. ;) Wearing your ankle supports on the outside of your socks must've got you votes from the umpire before you even got a kick. :-\

-

If you dont win I will be off to Collingwood?
-
1. One, 1974. (as this is not the correct answer, I think we met them once in the Escort Cup grannie, so 2)
Nup
ok time for a clue - Question said Grand Finals not VFL/AFL GFs ;)
I don't remember us playing North in a night GF. We did play Carlton in the Escort Cup GF of 1983.

One 1903 VFA
-
4. there is two teams out there and only one is playing football
-
1903 was one Mopsy :). There was more than 2.
For the cheats out there... cough....Moi....cough lol... the answer is on one of OER's history pages ;).
4. there is two teams out there and only one is playing football
;D
okay next clue - we were behind on the scoreboard so Tommy was trying to get them up for the second half.

1. One senior grand final, 1974,
Other premierships we have won Premierships: RESERVES - 1929, 1946, 1954-55, 1966, 1971, 1973, 1977, 1997 (9 total) UNDER 19S - 1958, 1967-8-9-70, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1980, 1985, 1989 (11 total)
I assume a few of those were against nth. This doesnt include when we were runners up to Nth, who also won 7 reserves and 7 under 19 premierships.
And back in the VFA as Mopsy said, we beat them in 1903, and 1905 but should have played them in 1904, but we wanted the VFA to change the umpire they had set for the final.
So One Eyed, I have no idea what you have as the answer to this question.
-
LOL LT. I'll give it to you for effort :clapping :thumbsup.
Senior GFs: 1903, 1904 and 1905 in the VFA and of course 1974 in the VFL. So 4 was the answer I was looking for.
Now that you mention the U19s LT and with the siren fiasco this year, the 1987 U19 side was robbed of a flag when the North timekeeper pressed the siren to end the game two minutes early just as a Richmond player was running in on goal that would have put the Tiges in front.
Question 4 is the only one left. What did Hafey famously say to the troops at half-time in the 1975 PF to try to get the Tiges revved up and going in the second half?
-
