Positive vibes at punt Road. Players haven't been this happy for a long time and are living Yze and Newman.
This is coming directly from a few players, but it's also evident from the mood at training.

Is this an accurate reflection of the teams feelings ?

For mine 1 of the main reasons could be that, this time last yr the Coach wasn't even in the Country when the 1-4yr players came back & didn't come back till after "his boys" had returned. I can easily see the younger guys feeling a bit detached. This yr the Coach had the 1st 2 weeks with only that group & a handful of the older guys that rolled through during that time.

It's accurate when it comes directly from the mouth of a few players. Why would they lie about it

I think it’s pretty apparent that the vibe is more positive and perhaps focussed.

Agreed. What the F are they supposed to say? New coach seems clueless, game plan makes no sense?
That said I believe it's probably true re: positivity. As they say, change is a good as a holiday.

Interesting they’re doing drills that focus on the corridor and they made punt road “narrower” to simulate that. I guess it’s an admission our team has mediocre outside run and we just gotta try and punch through the middle?
Either way I’m happy we’re trying something different. Reasons to feel optimistic
