She is Damo  :clapping.

Aussies up to 5 gold now with Mollie O’Callaghan winning the 200m free.

ps. How about the American media putting themselves top of the medal table based on most medals rather than the official way in order of most gold medals which has them sixth lol.

I saw that on CBS earlier and thought the same

Typical seppo behaviour

They did it with the swimming championships in the past when it suited them

There are Champions and there's Jess Fox

Sensational performance to win her 2nd gold, defending the medal she won in Tokyo

No gold for King Kyle

But after no WR so far in the pool, a Chinese swimmer comes out smashes the WR and wins by the event by a margin not seen in decades  :o... but supposedly nothing to see here

And people wonder why there are always question marks around the Chinese swimmers when they win

That run in the final was out of this world
Class above and definite GOAT of her sport

Hopefully she snags a third gold in the cross

Is there anywhere I can see decent highlights?

Every google/youtube search seems to give me these effing useless BS floating head interviews with stills.

If you have a VPN , choose America
And then watch the NBC highlights of Jess on NBC , best I found

Considering there hasn't been one other world record in that pool, eyebrows would be raised no doubt

But it isn't just the WR it is the margin, it was staggering

Swimming finishes tonight think our days in the top 4 are likely numbered

We have a couple of chances in track & field but not many

Have to say our rowing team were hugely disappointing

We weren’t favoured in any rowing event

Getting no golds is hardly a surprise

In addition
Nina Kennedy in Pole Vault
Rough chance in woman’s high jump
Surfing we are in the men’s semi
Open water swim anything can happen
Kayak Cross with Fox sisters
Couple of kayak events as well

Always a chance of some other unexpected result as well

Don’t think the men were ever considered a chance. Writing was on the wall with that spanking Belgium gave us in the group stage. Women’s loss was a choke job. Same with our rugby 7s girls.

Baseball is a regional in and out sport depending on where the games are hosted

They reckon bowls and netball will be in for the games in Brisbane

And I kid you not, “flying disc” is being considered

Baseball/softball, lacrosse and cricket all at the next games. As Damo mentioned they’re not core sports. I think the host country gets to suggest 4 sports each games to add to the core ones, which then need to get approved by the Olympic committee.

Ended up finishing 4th. Won a handful of medal the last couple of days but couldn’t snag a gold. Japan on the other hand had a ripping last 2 days. Feel like they added 6-8 golds in 2 days.

In any case, very successful games. Set a new record for golds, can’t ask for much more than that.
