I'll sign up and go to every home game I can, as usual. Spoon or not.
Let's see how many bandwagoning pussies we got over the last 7 years

Is there any truth to media reports that the RFC didn’t wish their members a happy Christmas due to virtue signalling?

I didn't notice and honestly wgaf
I love my footy but seriously it's cricket season and all I really wanna hear from the club is...crickets... Because they're either training the house down or have picked up an injury lmao.

Not sure about the virtue signalling but yes on twitter now X, they didn't say Merry Xmas,
Their post said "Wishing everyone a safe and happy time 🎄💛"
They've certainly copped criticism for it

It looks even worse that the Twitter account celebrated and named Ramadan.
It's not the space for it, but I don't understand why it would offend anyone. I don't blink an eye lid at Ramadan or Honoka or any other cultures holidays. Id have thought we just acknowledge them all if we wanted to be politically correct..

How cute of you
We are meant to believe in everything that’s a minority
Ramadan, Honoka = perfect
Christmas is most clearly not the way in PC correct Australia
Just remember .. Black Lives Matter .. white lives aren’t worth a pinch of goat poo

Growing up in Australia in the 70's & 80's, I always enjoyed going with the family to cultural events like the Italian festival in lygon street or the one that used to be held in Clayton, or Chinese new year celebrations or the Greek antipodes festival, the Asian food festival, the South American Latin festival etc etc. those were the days when as families we had time on weekends to go see and taste food from other cultures.
I get to meet people all different cultures every day and I've yet to meet a Hindu or Muslim family that wasn't excited generally excited about Christmas even though it's not a traditional celebration for them.
Last year 2 days before Christmas I was driving through Toorak and south Yarra and not one Christmas decoration to be found anywhere in the streets. I was perplexed.
I went to a house there and the owner said shop owners were only allowed to write "Happy Merry" on their shops fronts because the council didn't want to offend the Muslims in the area by having the word "Christmas" used.
I have met Muslim families all over the place, I still haven't found one Muslim person who is offended by Christmas and I don't know anyone who is Christian offended by Ramadan celebrations.
Is our club really this stupid?
To be truly "tolerant" you must include all people and their celebrations.
Celebrate and acknowledge all or don't celebrate any!

Seems to be slowing down a lot which is a shame.
You'd think with our draft haul we'd still have a strong membership number.

Has everyone received their membership welcome emails with the season details etc? I pretty sure my son received one and the rest of the family haven't?!

I find that very surprising
I thought it would drop off far more

I've renewed and would be disappointed in anyone who doesn't because we finished last.
Cost of living sure.
But performance, no.
-
I’m buttering up again. Have been a member since I popped a couple of pineapples into Neville Crowe hand at Save our Skins and said “We’re not going anywhere!”

Reckon cost of living is a massive issue.
For reasons only the Club can explain a number of membership categories have increased in price
Not a smart move IMHO

Probably PRO funding.
All the objections probably blew out the cost due to rising prices etc.
Should have started years ago!

Richmond targets 85,000 members by Round 1
Richmond is setting its sights on having 85,000 members by the time the ball is bounced at 7.30pm on Thursday night, helping the Club on its way to achieving its vision of reaching 100,000 every year.
“There are already 82,000 people signed up for this year, so a huge thank you to all our members who continue to support us,” CEO Shane Dunne said.
“We would love to get to 85,000 by the time the ball is bounced on Thursday night, so if you have not renewed your membership please get on board.”
Dunne, buoyed with optimism after a strong pre-season, added that the entire Club was incredibly grateful to the members who had already renewed.
“We are so thankful for your continued support. It will be a great ride this year. Thanks for joining the journey with us,” he said.

Disappointed although with the cost of living and form I guess it'd expected.
Been a member 25+ years running and I'll never give up my seat. Too many memories.
-
I actually commend AFL clubs for holding the price of memberships relatively steady over the past few years.
Although the price of everything else food etc has gone through the roof
