On a more positive front, how do we rate the first half of the year of the quiet achievers at Tigerland like Newman, Hyde, Foley, etc who receive little media attention or fanfare?
-
Newman's probably been the quietest out of the 3 of them. Hyde has had a fantastic season and Foley seems to be getting better as the season progresses.

krak has to be the quietest achover around, no one seems to notice how good he is ( :) )

Yep, such a quiet anchovy he is playing for Box Hill this weekend.
Besides that, like the way Hyde goes about his business, even though it took him a while to get over that head knock last year. :thumbsup

Hyde's game has gone up a level this year, adding goal kicking to his CV.
Foley's improving nicely. Can expect more time in the middle for the rest of the year.
Newman is very solid and going about his work unspectacularly.
His effort in the last game gainst the Dawks went largely unnoticed.
To hold Williams to five possessions and one goal under difficult circumstances was a great effort.
I expect he'll be given a midfield role in Cogs absence.

Totally agree MM. He'll slip under the radar as far as plaudits go but Newy's be very dependable for us in each of the jobs he's been asked to do this year. One of the few who could have held their head up after the Hawks debacle.
