Yep he's killing them tonight
-
Lazy 31 touches.
-
Carlton are shyte - he won't worry the good sides. :shh
-
Gray versus Davidson. How could someone that gets paid to recruit make that big a stuff up.
-
lmao imagine crying over missing out on a 23 year old flat track bully from the VFL after we've just drafted 7 kids in the top 30. :shh

Agree Dio....
and don't let the fact Gray had a serious hamstring injury that he is coming back from.
Further, Gray was a mid season rookie pick and was recruited 1/ because he had shown consistent form at VFL level and 2/we had a holes in our list around KP players
And a 3rd for good measure, Caracella coached him last season at Bumblings until he was draft. Told us at the Club XIII season launch that we had got a very good player a a bargain price. Seeing that so ,any on here rate Caracella so highly that's good enough for me

Samson got pinged in the first minute for deliberate on the wing and Sandy goal from it.
McAuliffe bursts from the next centrebounce but misses.
1 - 6
-
Okay the rule of the day is harsh deliberate calls. Again it's us who cops it ::).
-
Courageous by Wilson. Took the hit go back with the flight to force the spoil and Yassine goals :gotigers

Sandy 1.0-6

7 - 18

McCarthy bursts from the middle and goes long to Samson 20 out. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 2.1-13
Sandy 3.0-18
16 min Q1
-
Hooray! We actually got our first free. Alger held and dragged down in the tackle 40m out. Falls short. Moi Moi gets the free for too high but butchers the sitter and misses going around the body rather than doing a proper set shot :scream.
14 - 18
-
Costly miss as Sandy go coast-to-coast for a goal. They are scoring almost everytime they go forward.
14 - 24
No sure if there's a breeze or we're just crap kicks but the ball seems to be carrying slightly longer to the end Sandy are kicking to.
-
Faull good contested mark 45 out by the boundary. Another shot that doesn't make the distance and goes across the face. No score.
These umps ::) :facepalm.
Great tackle by Alger and clear HTB against Sandy = no free.
Yassine tackled high = HTB ump claiming he ducked.
-
Ball-up 45 out. McAuliffe wins it in traffic and gets it out to Yassine who runs and goals with the banana :gotigers
Rich 3.2-20
Sandy 4.0-24
25 min Q1
-
Faull clean and good vision on the wing. McAuliffe hits up Samson on the lead 35 out. Misses.

Richmond 3.3-21
Sandringham 4.0-24

McAuliffe our best so far. Alger lively. Samson actually holding onto his marks today :o.
Let's see if there's breeze in the 2nd qtr as we'll be kicking with it if there is.

We've been sloppy so far but finally some clean chain of mark-kick possession and Raso ends up with a shot from 35 out. Misses.

Kick-in intercepted by Alger 35 out. Goal! :gotigers
Rich 5.4-34
Sandy 4.2-26

Kosi has a mare with the kick-in. Got the breeze but doesn't know where to go and then kicks short sideways over El Nour's head. From the throw-in Sandy goals :banghead.
34 - 33
-
Our so-called tackling has been pathetic this quarter :facepalm.
-
Maurice's kick to Samson who was goal side is too long. Samson tries to soccer it but it is rushed for a behind.
35 - 34
-
Our smalls are nowhere at the marking contest. Get ****** front and square!!!
-
This has to be some of the dumbest footy with the breeze in a long time :facepalm.
-
McCarthy inboard to Faull who marks 30 out. Misses.
36 - 34
-
Jumpin' Jonty Faull! :clapping

Lmao how was that htb against Calista Flockhart when he wasn't even tackled....maggots just trolling the club at this point.... :propeller
-
Half time
Richmond 3.3 5.6-36
Sandringham 4.0 5.4-34
Goals: Yassine 2, Ryan, Gray, Alger
Absolute dross of a quarter. Totally wasted any breeze that was there. Butchered our F50 entries and Sandy's smalls were more desperate at the fall of the ball as ours don't know what front and square means. Too much ballwatching and too many mistackles :banghead.
-
Lmao how was that htb against Calista Flockhart when he wasn't even tackled....maggots just trolling the club at this point.... :propeller
Yep Dio. What a joke that was. Umps up to their usual standard :thumbsdown.

Rich 6.6-42
Sandy 5.4-34

Centrebounce goes 20m out of the circle Sandy's way and the ump calls play on. Absolute cheat! >:(
-
Alger to the goalsquare but Sims can't hold onto the contested mark. Rushed through.
43 - 34
-
Another poor mistackle in the midfield and it allows Sandy to go forward and gift them a soft goal. Tiges asleep :banghead.
43 - 40
-
Some lazy efforts out there. Reaching down one-handed and not bending down and putting the body behind the ball.
-
We had the kick-in but the ump pulls a downfield free to Sandy (against Colina 60m away). Gifts Sandy another goal :banghead.
43 - 48
-
Umps pulling frees for Sandy everywhere :thumbsdown
-
As bad as the umps are, the difference in the game is at the fall of the ball at the contest. Sandy's tackling, hitting targets by hand, and intensity better than ours by far. Our smalls need to lift big time.
43 - 55
-
Guiney inside 50 to Samson on the lead 40 out. Fades and goes left on the breeze.
44 - 55

Coughed a goal from a D50 stoppage. Since quarter time we've been as crap as the umps.

Another free and goal to Sandy

We get sucked in, give away silly frees, but then the umps start paying everything against us as a kind of payback.

Yassine hits up Alger 40 out. Drifts and falls short and is rushed off hands.

Gutsy come from behind win in the last.
Gray not always conventional but was fantastic in defence in the last and pushed forward for some long shots.
Alger worked lively close to goal.

On paper his game looks fine. 7 touches, 15 hit outs, scored 1.2, 6 score involvements. 4 marks and 3 clearances.
If he kicked straighter it would be quite a solid game.

Tigers down Sandringham with goal after the siren in comeback victory
By Zakariya El-Houli
Richmond Media
29 March 2025
Trailing by 23 points at three-quarter-time, Richmond VFL stormed home to defeat Sandringham by six points with a goal after the siren kicked by Joel Garner on Saturday afternoon at RSEA Park, 11.8 (74) to 11.14 (80).
With just two points separating the two sides at half time, the Zebras added six goals in the third quarter to establish a commanding lead heading into the final term.
Lachlan Wilson (24 disposals, five marks, eight tackles and four clearances) hit the scoreboard within the first minute of the final term to provide a spark for his side.
Three more Tiger majors followed in the quarter, including the all-important match-winning goal kicked by Joel Garner, the side’s stand-in skipper as the strong-finishing Tigers overcame a 23-point three-quarter-time deficit to record their second consecutive win.
Livewire forward Mohammad Yassine kicked two goals in the opening term, and Jasper Alger was potent, also converting two majors on Saturday afternoon.
Continuing on his strong early-season form was Kane McAuliffe.
He notched up 25 disposals, three marks, eight tackles and eight clearances.
Also strong in the midfield was Massimo Raso once again with 24 disposals, three marks and eight clearances.
Mutaz El Nour (19 disposals, two marks and three tackles), Tom McCarthy (23 disposals, five marks and two tackles) and Nicholas Collier (17 disposals, on embark and two tackles) were strong in the defensive half for the Tigers, while Tom McKenzie was strong on debut, collecting 19 disposals and four clearances.
Also exceptional in defence was Campbell Gray (12 disposals, three marks and four tackles).
“Two weeks in a row now he’s come back and he’s risen to the occasion,” coach Jake Batchelor said of Gray post-match.
“We needed someone to stand up and be the man in the backline along with Joel (Garner) and his ability to come forward in a fearless manner was so strong, so really pleased with him.”
Richmond VFL will look ahead to their Round 3 clash with Brisbane at the Swinburne Centre on Saturday, April 5 from 11:05am.

VFL Report: Round 2
Richmond VFL coach Jake Batchelor provides a summary of how the Tigers’ players performed in last Saturday’s Round 2 win over Sandringham at RSEA Park.
Kane McAuliffe (28 disposals, three marks, seven tackles)
“Had a huge game despite only playing three quarters due to his role as carryover emergency for the AFL side. Strong around the contest with clean hands and physicality. Showed growth in his defensive awareness and stayed really active. Great performance overall.”
Campbell Gray (13 disposals, three marks, five tackles, one goal)
“Had a significantly better start compared to last week, but it was his last quarter that stood out. He played with instinct, confidence, and without fear of mistakes — showing signs of the impactful player he can become.”
Jonty Faull (13 disposals, four marks, ome tackle)
“A real presence ahead of the ball — rarely outmarked, fights hard, and scraps for every contest. Had some great moments stepping through pressure and lowering the eyes. Exciting potential.”
Jasper Alger (12 disposals, three marks, two goals)
“Improved from last week in terms of system. Found good spots and is clearly learning and applying feedback in his role as a high half forward.”
Jacob Koschitzke (nine disposals, three tackles, one mark)
“Played a really strong game. His system behind the ball was solid, and he had a standout one-on-one win against Liam Henry late in the game — a crucial contest that helped preserve momentum.”
Thomas Sims (seven disposals, three marks, six tackles, eight hit-outs, one goal)
“Competed strongly in the air and may not have been out marked all game. Brought the ball to ground consistently and capped it off with a nice goal. Improving steadily each week.”
Samson Ryan (seven disposals, four marks, 15 hit-outs, three clearances, one goal)
“Didn’t fill the stat sheet but played a key role, especially in the last quarter where he took over ruck duties. His presence and competitiveness had a big influence on the game.”
Maurice Rioli Jr (seven disposals, three marks, one tackle, one goal)
“Showed his trademark power, speed, and explosiveness — a level above. Capped his performance with a goal and demonstrated strong defensive intent throughout.”
Mate Colina (five disposals, five tackles, 11 hit-outs)
“Faced a tough matchup against a top-tier ruck in Harry Boyd and gave away a few frees. Technique adjustments needed, but effort was never in question. Good learning opportunity.”
Liam Fawcett (one disposal, one mark)
“Unfortunately suffered a concussion and a broken nose in the first five minutes. No further impact on the game.”
