Simple - it's not our home ground. You don't give up an advantage to the opposition. All our home games should be at the 'G. You don't see Liverpool forced to play home games at Goodison Park (Everton) or the Yankees forced to play home games at Citi Stadium (Mets).

lol
Bit different when you share your home ground with half a competition
Comparing the MCG to Anfield is a special stretch

The MCG has been our home ground for 60 years and we were there well before the ground rationalisation of the 1990s. We've also been playing home games in Yarra Park since 1885. We didn't abandon our local suburb. Melbourne and Richmond should not be playing home games at Docklands. Let other clubs that moved away from the local suburb that carries their name do that.
ps. I guess so. The MCG is twice the capacity and holds the record for the biggest Liverpool crowd ;) :shh.

Just don't like it.
Don't like the acoustics, the viewing angle from the seats, the lack of beautiful parkland like the MCG has etc.
On a side note though there are a few things about the MCG that have changed that give me the poos:
- siren now a recording played through speakers
- the LED ads on the boundary fence
- the lights at night games, stuffing bright...something's changed

The access in and out of Marvel is the worst thing about it imho

Wow
It’s why I love going there
Used to catch a train from my side of town , get off at Southern Cross and job done
I find getting to the MCG via public transport a pain in the arse

Train after the game is always a nightmare.
And the walk to the G is getting harder on my dad. We take the golf carts now.
Marvel definitely better for this, but without the character and charm of the G.

Once you get to southern cross station it’s good , it’s the duck walk with
Your nose up someone’s back that causes my grief
If I left a 3 quarter time it would be easy access🙀
