Just play all the older players and leave the kids out of the slaughter that will happen either way.

All the fit ones are already playing and some that their health is questionable ie. Taranto

Is Trainor in doubt to play?

Is Trainor in doubt to play?
Going by this weeks injury report he is available.
Scans showed no strain or tear
So based on that he's a lock to play :whistle

Team Tips:
It’s season over for veteran Nick Vlastuin, who injured his ankle against North Melbourne in Hobart on Sunday. Additionally, this weekend’s Saturday evening clash will reportedly be the last for two-time flag winner Kamdyn McIntosh as a Tiger, with Nine’s Tom Morris revealing he will not be offered a new contract at Punt Road for next year.
First-year gun Luke Trainor (hamstring tightness) was a late, late out in the Tigers’ Round 23 loss, and whether he will return for the final match of the year remains to be seen.
Tall forward Harry Armstrong was very quiet amid a lack of opportunity up forward, while substitute Steely Green had just two touches in the second half after being injected into the match.
Kaleb Smith was the best of the AFL-listed players in the club’s reserves side against Williamstown, while Josh Gibcus continues to be on the edge of playing his first game at the top level since Round 1 last year.

No point playing Gibcus.
Just throw in anyone really.
Don't risk anyone already injured or carrying a niggle etc.
Play some hacks/kids.

Is there really no point? He has had a handful of games at VFL level, he is presumably right to go and if that’s the case give him a game. I’m sure it would give him a massive confidence boost to get through an AFL game and be ready for a big preseason.
I’m sure if he does get injured people with bang on about how stupid it was to play him, but that risk is still there at VFL level.

The risk is lower at VFL level. The intensity and speed is lower and I don't think the AFL listed players try as hard. It's like a training drill to some of them, or an opportunity to be noticed/tapped on the shoulder at best.
Happy for him to play a game but getting whipped by the Cats in the last round of a dead season....is there really much to motivate him in all of that?

Fair argument with regards to speed and intensity but on the reverse side you can make a case for the quality of the grounds played on in the VFL as well as the skill levels of the players lending their hand to more injuries.
