How consistently good has Polo been since he debuted. He's only played 9 games yet he's playing as though he's been in the AFL for years. Just another lazy 17 possies and a goal again last night with no fuss whatsoever. He's also stepped up his tackling in the past 2 weeks which is great to see from a cub. Show him no respect at your peril :thumbsup.
9 games
15.4 disposals
5.9 marks
2.1 tackles
0 frees for (c'mon umpies)
6 frees against
5 goals
2 behinds

Marco was one of few positives to come out of last night. A fantastic job shutting down Cameron Bruce (which only begs the question more why he wasn't tried on Franklin ???). Wallace must love that after just 10 AFL games he can rely on this kid to do the job he wants him to. Some senior players could learn from that too.

Another one in the draft like Deano wouldnt go astray.

If only the rest of the boys could see him last night...

Yeah, young Polo and Foley set the tone for work-rate and desperation last night. Both of them absolutely busted their gut. Good on ya boys :thumbsup :clapping

Think he will figure prominently in this years Rising Star award, but Rainsey has it in the bag, KB will make sure of that :rollin :lol

I think Polo has been just as good as Rainsey - and having 29 possies in your first game and about 3 goals would leave a pretty good impression. While he hasn't repeated that, he's been pretty consistent and definitely not being carried in the team to prove his worth.
Good luck to both of them :thumbsup

It has been a year to savour for Richmond's Dean Polo.
Ever since his mercurial debut performance against Essendon in round six when he racked up 28 possessions and kicked three goals, Polo has managed to maintain a consistent form-line and is fast becoming one of Richmond's best young players.
Despite kicking only three goals since then, he has continued to win the ball with great regularity for the improved Tigers, and is averaging 15 touches a game.
So, how has he found the senior footy experience so far?

Good to see all the attention hasn't gone to his head :thumbsup

You can't get sick of the way this kid plays :thumbsup. No fuss and does the job. Gave Lappin a bath especially in the first half.

That tackle he laid today which should have been holding the ball, he was like an octopus, I reckon his arms went around the guy twice.
