Title: Blight on Raines and Schulz
Post by: mightytiges on July 23, 2006, 04:43:50 AM
Malcolm Blight's comments for most of the night drove you up the wall but he made the comment that Rainesy looked like a deadset future midfielder. What do you guys think?

Blight also said Schulz needs to build up his workrate and win more of the footy upfield a la BBBBH. While that's true, a broken collarbone and ankle hasn't helped him over the last couple of years.

Yep, Rainsey will eventulay move into the middle
I reckon Blight probably knows what he's talking about, but it's the continual drone of his voice drives me up the wall lol
Schultzy could be a very useful player in the future IMO plugging holes forward and back.  Yep, injuries haven't helped his cause.  Just needs a bit of luck to consistently get out there.

This is a very biased point of view, but if I were the coaching staff of Richmond I'd be pushing on Sarge that if he was as dedicated as Riewoldt he could be as good, if not better.

He is a much better kick, has good hands and can take a contested grab. Thursfield showed that Riewoldt is not a good one on one player.

:clapping :clapping Thanks wayne - finally someone else seeing what I see every week ;D

And I reckon you are right on the money about young Jay as well. It's a real pity the kids had such a shocking run with injury - the shoulder this year (received against the Saints btw) was just bloody bad luck IMHO
