Half-time
Coburg Tigers 2.3 6.10-46 . .
Port Melbourne 2.5 3.8-26 . .
If we had kicked straight the game would have been over. It's bloody windy so that explains the poor goalkicking by both sides. Pretty good effort so far given it'd be one of the youngest Coburg sides this year given all the injuries Richmond has.

Well done Dean :clapping
-
Whats clever up to? Did he play? Wheres he at for all you coburg experts
-
Given all the injuries Richmond has there's only 9 guys left to play for Coburg - Roach, Limbach, Patto, JON, Hughes, McGuane, Humm, Howat and Graham. So we fit under the 12-10 player restriction. I'm interested in if Graham played in the seniors as he's not named in the ressies best or goalkickers like he normally is.
Great news for Dean and good to see JON and Patto named in the bests :clapping. We'll need Patto next week if Simmo and/or Staff get rubbed out. Hopefully now the finals are gone all three get promoted. Time to play the kids.

i spoke to someone who i cannot name from the rfc football department, and can tell u str8 from an important figures mouth at the club, that cleve has been told to toughen up or he will never get a game again. he has been told he playes to soft and is weak and needs to address this pronto to becoame an afl player. he has the talent but not the balls and is the only thing holding him back. limbach is ahead of him and this person also said limbach has what it takes to be a superstar ff

Cleve played mainly off the bench today and I was wondering why. Your comments may explain why. Limbo was very good and JON was very classy playing CHB. 15 kgs and a couple of centimtres more abd JON could be the CHB we are after. Roll on 2008.

X,
I have heard the exact same thing from a source out of Coburg, i was told some very similar stuff before the start of the season.
Let's hope he can toughen up.
On Limbach, i like the look of this kid.
Give him a few games and then get him back in the gym over summer.

Angus Graham played for the Burger ressies. Wasn't his best game.
I think I may have mentioned it previously but one of the problems IMO with Limbach and Hughes side by side in the forward line is that due to their inexperience they struggle to work together e.g. they both lead to the same spot. That will improve with experience.
Cleve spent a lot of time on the bench - played the entire final quarter and a couple of times his pressure in trying to keep the ball inside the F50 was disappointing.
Dean Limbach was very good today, strong leads and great marking.
Luke McGuance was played at CHF rather than FB .
Tommy Roach played in the BP
JON was off the HBF
Not the greatest game but a wins a win

Cleve will work out better than Limbach. It would be a shame if attitude is the difference between him making it and not making at Richmond. I have high hopes for the clever.

The Age

Coburg's Dean Limbach dragged his team across the line against Port Melbourne in a heart-stopping five-point victory. It was 2004 Richmond draftee Limbach who stood up to kick the winning goal after the Boroughs had pinched a two-point lead with five minutes remaining in the match.
The athletic forward finished with seven of Coburg's 11 goals in a standout performance.
However, club officials have urged Richmond supporters to be patient, as they plan to give the exciting 19-year-old more time at VFL level to mature mentally and physically.
Despite standing at a towering 192 centimetres, Limbach is listed at just 84 kilograms, a staggering 21 kilos lighter than Tiger spearhead Matthew Richardson, and he is not expected to make his AFL debut until next year.

I still stand by my prediction that the clever will turn out better than limbach. Clever will be sensational when he just gets it into his head that hes gotta stand tall in a contest, give a 2nd effort and listen to his coaches. Dont flush your career down the dunny Clever!
-
Ramps,
Do you think they could be our future fwd combo?
Limbach at FF and Clever at CHF?
-
Limbach is a 3rd tall who marks and kicks goals. Hughes is the same, but could also play FF, CHF and if its not working out hed probably get tried at CHB. For mine, the player personal we got and who may be coming in over the next 2 years, I cant see Limbach and Hughes playing together. They cant even play together at Coburg lol. Either 1 kicks a bag or the other does, I dont think theyve kicked multiple goals together.

they are both still young and learning

At this stage Dean is a one trick player, Clever has the ability to do more than one role.
